I had the money to do it, it came to $256.11 grand total, $22 of that was tax and $24.99 was the moible service fee, but I'd rather pay that than sit there for about 3 hours before I could drive it home. I figure it's still cheaper than a ticket and I get a new windshield out of it. The old one really bugged me lol.
Yeah mine used to scare me, having a crack right down the center from top to bottom can get nerve racking. But it's put up wit everything so far so I think it's plenty safe.
Yup. One time I was driving my 88 ranger somewhere on the freeway and a big rock either came off a truck or was just in the road, either way it hit my ranger and scared me s***less. I was doing about 75 mph and it hit about an inch above the windshield on the metal part of the roof. If it hit the glass, chances are it would have gone through and hit me too.
Wow! the guy said that the adhesive used on my old windshield, if I would have gotten in a wreck the windshield most likely would have flown out, it was all gooey and gross too.
Sounds like either it was the incorrect stuff or it didn't cure properly.
He said they can't even use that type of sealant anymore, apparently when it gets old and on a hot day it'll get like that. The new stuff is much better.
