Bearings mostly, I tried looking for bearings for the semi float 10.25 and they all have to be ordered vs the full float just go buy them in the store, bearings and stuff like that for the semi float 10.25 also seem to be more expensive from all the auto part stores around here. I hope that guy wasn't BSing me saying the rear had a new ring and pinion installed at 200,000 miles. I guess I'll find out when open it up this spring.
Don't you have a power transmission or bearing supply house around there?
If I need an odd or expensive bearing I always ask at Kaman before I drop big $ on something I have to wait for from the auto parts.
So today I decided to turn my vacuum advance all the way in and then a few turns out, I'll see how it runs like that. I checked #1 and #5 sparkplugs and they had a nice really light tan color to them. 15 miles ago before I added the regulator they were pitch black.
I already did all of that before, but I drove the truck today, it ran a bit better and had more torque, but it was kind of fluttery on acceleration and cruise. 2-3 more turns out should fix that. It also sounded better on acceleration.
Sorry, but if you are accelerating your vacuum isn't going to be high enough to bring the advance in fully. In other words, it won't change the advance during acceleration. So the changes you are hearing are in your mind.
I just realized why it was choppier on acceleration, I put the accelerator pump back on the stock squirt hole, I'm putting it back on the least squirt since it runs/accelerates better at that setting for some reason. But at cruise it did seem kinda choppy.
Also, I'm not trying to be an *** but you guys seem to talk to me like I'm an idiot or something.
