i could easily do fried eggs over easy in the morning, boiled eggs for lunch, and scrambled for supper! & i would enjoy if for a few days! after that, the wife would make me misserable with complaints about the egg farts :/ ... of course, i guess that would mean she's miserable because of the farts!

hey, yesterday i watched a video of joe rogan and kevin Smith talking about a potatoe diet - eat nothing by baked potatoes for two weeks, nothing on them, no butter, no salt, no nothing. just white baked potatoes. not fried, no oil, jst baked. two weeks. THEN the 3rd week add corn i believe, just boiled corn, then every week after that add something else, can't remember beyond that.

oh, guess what, i weighed 179 today. something is up & I don't know what. i may actually settle back down to 175 this winter, just like i did last winter. only this time i'm not sure that i want to drop the weight, pretty sure its gonna be the muscle that i've been working for all year

177 this morning, crazy. though i am on my twice-a-year diet. i'm pretty much eliminating all bullcrap foods, all breads and pastas, most starches, all sweets, and most fruits. basically just non starchy vegetables, low fructose fruits, and lean meats and eggs. oh, and raw nuts. it surprised me cause i'm still eating til im full multiple times a day. i'd be 170 if i bucked down and stopped eating before i get full

I've weighed in, at nearly an all time high. Its not that I don't care. Its just that I love food. Our inside garden is growing, and I express to my wife that I don't think it will keep up with demand. I guess we will see. Perhaps once things get rolling it will.

Been a bit since I checked in with you guys so I figured I'd meander back in

We took a 2 week break from keto over the holidays and ended up gaining about 12 lbs. Not as bad as I thought considering all the sweets and goodies that we ate while we took a break from work and life.

Jumped back in and now I'm back down those 12 lbs just as quickly as I put them back on. I think I would have lost more but the wife and I have started working out about 45 minutes a day, 4 days a week and I've been building quite a bit of muscle back up. Been focusing on ab workouts and riding the exercise bike and have been pretty happy with the workout so far. I think I'll get free weights sometime soon and then start lifting weights in the garage come summertime. It will be interesting to see the before and after coming up in May, since that is when I started the weight loss portion of the journey last year.

I've been fat for 20 years, lol. Too bad they don't give out prizes for that kind of stuff, a dozen donuts would be nice!

I have always had a large stomach, but was never very big until a few years after high school. Once I reached 205, I mostly hung out there and haven't ventured much above or below that weight for the rest of the time. I was as heavy as 225, and as light as 173, but always bounced back to the 205-210 weight.

I would pass on the dozen donuts and eat a dozen tacos though.

Ive eaten a doz tacos before-- Ugh not for awhile though. I have been as high as 307-- and as low as 230ish since being in Italy. I took a month off of keto over Christmas to try and "shack" my system a little. Yeah-- I was shocked at the scale aftr that month -- that was all the shocking I got :-O I have been eating right for a couple weeks and this time it seems to be going slower :-( I am going to have to up my exercise game.

Similar story here, after college I was above 300, then lost 20 lbs for my wedding, then hovered around 280 for the next 10 years.

The diet break was nice over Christmas, but I agree that it takes a bit for the body to "kick" back into gear. I'm finally to the point where I'm losing 1-2 lbs daily again so I think I'm back into the full swing of things. The exercise we started has been holding me back for losses IMO, the re-building of muscle is slowing my weight loss a bit. No complaints about that though, I don't want to turn into a weakling! lol

Sure hope so, it's hard to track progress when I lose fat and gain muscle at the same time.

bonus is that your hormones are probably optimal right now if you can build muscle and lose fat at the same time!
