that would be awesome! with any luck, after we adopt a kiddo, he/she'll be interested in stuff like that... perfect excuse to go ahead and tear up the yard building one lol
the one we are looking at is a Hydroponic (SP?) with lights built in and a big water tank. We know a lady that has a couple and loves them. They run on a timer for water and light. Supposed to produce veggies in less than a month. I am curious how it will replenish fast enough to be a full time source for veggies, but we will see. The lady who has two is producing enough to give some away. She is going to bring us some this week to try.
yeah hydroponic sounds right! i hear people grow marahoochie using those systems too!
guys i kinda failed last night lol, ate the rest of some holiday bread and like 3 servings of brussel sprouts too many so now i'm trying to make up for it... i hate making up for it!!!
Hydroponics has come a long way in just a relatively short time. Aqua ponics seems to be a growing trend- no dirt required. Several of my prepper friends have set up systems for very little money.
been a tough time last few weeks, my aunt died december 4th, my neighbor died the 6th, then my grandma just died on the 19th, and my mom had a really bad car crash on the 26th. i'm just now able to comprehend what day of the week it is lol! anyway, mom is doing ok now, she had to have a hip replacement, knee reconstruction, and tons of stitches, braces, and splints... she will be able to walk again in maybe 6 months. Anyway, dad and I have been in the hospital with her. we've had to resort to eating hospital food blehhhhh....
Wow! Sounds like you and I have been going through some of the similar situations. Glad your mom is going to be ok, sorry about all of the luck. Hopefully 2019 will be much better for you. My 2018 was like that all year long and I am ready for the next chapter.
That's a lot to deal with!
On the positive side, our hydroponic garden should be here on Thursday. : )
Thanks guys! unfortunately, 2019 isn't starting off too great ... i have a massive slab leak under my house. gonna meet the plumber there later.
BUT!!! I'm starting my twice-a-year diet thingy that i've been doing for about 5 years now. lasts 6 weeks, and is always worth it! i'm going to eliminate all nonsense food until mid february, and work hard to make sure my spirit and mental well-being are taken care of.
the water heater went out from the over-usage from the leak. all i can do is lol about it lol! i was saving up to replace it anyway, so no big deal. i'm getting a slightly larger one too so that will be nice.
back to dieting... i have a big ol' container full of spinach at the house for this week! i'm gonna flush out all the crap i ate at the hospital lol
