I usually do great until I walk in the front door, and smell the food she has cooked for the daycare, I.E. Garlic Breadsticks, hamburgers, spaghetti, etc.. etc.. the aroma takes over the house and its sudden hunger when I walk in. At that point there is a fridge full of food and cupboards full of snacks.. and its game on.
I know them feels man, Jamie is always cooking good stuff for the daycare kids and the smell is a killer sometimes. Luckily we're both on the same diet and have a "stash" of low carb foods to eat all the time in the fridge and pantry so it's not as tempting as it could be.

Weighed in at a new record low this morning, 219.8! Pretty excited to finally bust out of the 220 range, only took me half a year haha.

Best part is that I still have 3 more days of dieted weigh-ins before I gorge myself on Easter meals this weekend. Wish me luck!

I missed my April weigh in by about 5 lbs. If I work really hard, I could get down to the 206 weigh in a few days, but my motivation is low.

and now it's time for my mid-morning snack - boiled eggs and green beans around 30 grams of protein and i'm guessing 10-12 grams of fiber. delicioumous!

My motivation was pretty low back in February. We had attempted to quit our diet and slowly move back into what we used to do and the weight quickly jumped back on. Who would have that that going back to eating junk food all the time would shoot our weight back up? lol

Took us a while to get back to pre-December weight but we were able to within a month or so. I feel like I have the perfect balance (at least for my body's metabolism) figured out now and it seems to be working great while allowing for some snacky freedoms on the weekend. The 18\6 fast with only eating 11:30-5:30 has been a great way to control unnecessary snacking and keep my overall food intake down throughout the day. The black coffee is hard to take without cream in the morning, but I got used to it pretty quick and it doesn't break my fast. Other than that I just stick with low-carb foods and focus on keeping my protein intake high, followed by fat intake. Usually have a big portion of meat for supper (steak, chops, chicken, brats, all-beef hot dog, etc.) with a side of steamed and buttered broccoli\cauliflower. Lunch is typically a large salad with chicken or lunchmeat for topping and ranch, shredded cheese

I do this Sunday through Thursday, and Friday lunch through Saturday supper is basically a complete splurge into stuff that we enjoy and used to eat (chips, cookies, pizza, fries, smores, etc.) Sure I'll shoot up several lbs, but it quickly falls off and keeps us from hating life. Hard to break those old food habits when they taste soooooooooooooo good

I weighed in 2 lbs lighter this morning, of course in part it was a full evening of mowing, but it was also I ate very well yesterday for a change. It kind of motivates me to put more effort forward and repeat the same process.

I popped up a pound yesterday, but then dropped a couple more down to a new low of 218. I'd really like to hit 211 by May 5th, which is the 1 year anniversary of my weight loss and a total of 75 lbs lost. We'll see, gonna be a close one!

Mowing nights consistently help me shed a lb or two. Yet another reason why mowing is AWESOME and why we should do it as much as possible! lol

i concur lol, summer's are so much simpler diet-wise cause i'm mowing a few lawns in the neighborhood. I have 3 lawns plus mine right now, thinking about taking up a fourth. After mowing, i'm usually not terribly hungry haha

Hey, speaking of May 5th, I might have mentioned before that I've been working on adopting a kiddo... well, May 5th I get to finally meet the kid that we've been approved to adopt!!! In a way, that date marks a great victory for me, and I believe it will for you too! That's 7lbs in 2 1/2 weeks - breaking it down, you can loose 4lbs of fat plus at least 3lbs of water weight by then, very doable!

and if you don't make it by the 5th, go for the 10th - that's the 10th anniversary for when I broke my leg working in the oil field hahaha!

Congrats, that really is exciting! Getting a kid is a sure-fire way to burn some calories, at least I do when chasing my boys around the yard! lol

I forsee an issue this weight loss this weekend though, dang Easter feast and candy will be too much to resist

thanks guys! and i've been staying after the conditioning - i'm expecting that this kid like to be active haha!

Saturday I'm busy busy busy, so busy that i won't really get to eat a lot... Then Sunday i'll be busy busy in the morning, and i'll probably eat a sizeable lunch with family for Easter feast! Then i gotta drive for 3 hrs only to work work work... so it'll be a lot easier on me this Easter weekend than holidays past. Like i mentioned before, i'm on a mission to finish remodeling my house, prepare house for this kiddo, scrape up cash to help out parents with their debt, and pay off my mortgage! I'm really fired up guys, i'm going to pay this house loan off in 8 years if things keep on like they have been lately, that's like 12 years ahead of schedule lol! and shortly before that 8 years is up, my sister and I expect to have my parents in the clear too! did i mention I have the most wonderful wife lol, she's been supportive of me every since I started taking on the world like this hahaha!

Well, I found the two lbs that I had lost previously, even though I followed the same food eating routine as the day before. This last evening though, was dance practice night for the little one, and I spent the evening sitting waiting for her.
