OK so I was a pop o holic for nearly 45 years--- 2-3 liters a day--- sometimes more--- I amd going to start on cofee and tea for a month and see what happens.
i've been allowing myself to indulge in coffee for quite a while now lol, but nothing it, black, just like i like my humor! and women. and my catfish... well that's a stretch, i like it blackened...
hey i had a mild victory yesterday lol, i took my wife to the buffet (big buffet with lots of options) and didn't have any sweets, breads, breaded foods, fried foods, or rice or noodles or anything with a sauce! I started with a monster plate of greens and veggies, no dressing. THEN i had only meats cooked without breading and no sauces on it. except the curry chicken. but mainly i had all the baked fish options, like baked skin on tilapia, baked catfish, then another catfish offering with onion and peppers (so good), and i had some baked turkey breast lol! all in all, i behaved myself except for simply eating more than i needed. Most importantly, the wife had a good time
My wife hates the tase of coffee- but she drinks 2-3 cups every day-- she adds soo much crap to it that it tastes like a sugary treat (I guess) I call them "Crapicinos" - I like coffee with a touch of sweetner-- no sodas since last week
I cut down on sodas the last couple of days, just thinking about it now makes me want to crack a cold one. I tried to drink more water to replace it, but something in water gives me heartburn immediately, so then my brain says.. "Drink Pop, it doesn't give you the immediate heartburn" Sometimes I give in, sometimes I try to drink more water to see if I can kill the heartburn.
I love coffee but I do try to restrict myself so I don't burn a hole in my gut over time or overload on caffeine. Every day I do a cup mixed in with some french vanilla "keto" powder (mct oil) at 5 AM, coffee iced with almond milk\heavy whipping cream at noon, and about half the time I'll have a "pick me up" cup around 3-4 PM to push me through the end of day. Works really well for me and I feel that it's a good spread of caffeine throughout the day.
The rest of it is filled with water, LOTS of water. I drink 1-1.5 gallons a day pretty easy, just a constant flow of iced water in a stainless steel container. Does take a lot of time to refill and "drain" but it keeps hunger at bay and keeps me hydrated.
Workout has been going solid, wife and I have been able to work in 1 hour a day, 4 days a week and the pain\misery of exercise is quickly going away. It's kinda crazy that we're actually looking forward to working out every day
We have been doing ab work\weight loss yoga for the first 20 minutes, then I'll do a 15 minute "hard-core" ab workout while Jamie is on the bike, then I jump on the bike for 30 minutes before calling it quits.
I really hope we can stick with it for the next several months, may actually be able to have a regular "bod" instead of my "dad bod" at the pool and lake
I drink a lot of coffee. Probably 6-10 cups a day. I also pee a lot too.
I've started riding the exercise bike in the basement. It has been collecting dust for several years, the same as I have been. The first time it had me huffing and puffing.
Chad, I still have two Mountain Dews in the refrigerator in the garage that you left here who knows how many years ago. I wonder if they get better with age like fine wine or whiskey?
Curtis we bought a 6 pack of diet Pepsi for a friend who was here over New Years, but he only drank one. I could get them to you so they don't end up like Chad's Dew!

there's a Sprite in my fridge at home, been there a while! i'm impressed with myself that I haven't guzzled it in a moment of weakness lol

when the doctor told my wife to quit putting sweetener in her coffee, she just about gave up on life hahaha! she's ok with it now, but she wasn't happy for a couple months lol

i know what you're talking about! or i think i do lol! if i don't get to work out for a couple days, water won't go down as easily. days when i work out, that first gallon goes down pretty fast lol! i probably do almost 1.5 gallons a day on average lately
OH del those have got to be really old I think they were from our camping trip in your camper :-) I have been doing well- still no soda-- I'll be buying a six pack for guests this weekend but there will be a pot of coffee on too :-)- might even buy some beer? I won't have any but when in Rome--
i went to Sam's club an dpicked up some stuff i've been wanting, mainly avocados and asparagus! and a whole lot of chicken breast and fish fillets! tonight, i'm going to look up a recipe for trout, first time i've ever bough trout from Sam's, it was like $12 for a side so i don't want to waste it!
