over the years, i've estimated that I typically hold 10 pounds of poop in my guts at a given time when i'm not really watching what i'm eating. in just 2 weeks of super healthy diet changes (my typical twice-a-year veggie diet), i can drop close to that much weight. after that its kind of a pound or two a week until i start adding normal foods back in.
i love getting back into a good diet! purge all the nooks and crannies in the intestines... it gets to where you can feel each individual BM prepping itself as it's getting ready to roll down the pike. i lose that easy going bowel sensation when i quit my veggies
So... I was having the discussion with my wife this morning, about going up .7 lbs yesterday instead of down which I was expecting.
She told me that sometimes you have to switch things up to get beyond the barrier, (My 205 lbs)
I told her that I don't mind doing what I am doing, but I don't like the idea of having to keep lowering the food amount each time. In my mind, I keep thinking, eventually I could be eating morsels, and be painfully hungry at all times. Right now a lot of my success has been that I am not feeling hungry at all times.
Maybe I need to still just keep my eyes on the prize. I am putting too much pressure on this month's weight loss. I need to just stick to my casual 2 lbs per month goal and be happy with that. I lost focus there for a while.
Ate a salad and steak for lunch, then two sloppy joes for dinner. then I remembered I had a case of beer in the garage that needs finished up, so much for trying to be good once that is discovered. Put a pretty good dent in the case. Feeling it today.
man i hear ya, i just had one glass of beer (though it was like 8%avb lol) earlier this week and i felt it the next day. of course, i've been having that symptom for years now. nearly 4 years ago I started getting a sick feeling after just 2 beers. so its a little bit easier now to pass up a 6 pack lol
Awesome!
I did good yesterday too except for after supper... I made home made popcorn and kinda over did it... I used coconut oil because the wife likes it. I ate enough that I still feel full Lol! I'm telling ya, its a battle!
I'm going to move around some landscaping stones later after church. Might pour a bit of concrete. That outta help!
Back up to 206.6 today, I am beginning to think my weekends are out to get me. A few buffet dinners at the kid's request, pizza lunch, BBQ Dinner at home which is a weakness for me.
I think I will start seeing my weight going back down fairly quickly because like you said, I am carrying quite a bit currently as my stomach feels full and heavy.
I can't see myself changing my weekend habits, as that is family bonding time, and travel time. ( I guess, unless instructed to by my doctor) So maybe my weeks will just have to continue to be my focus days and my weekends, my throw my hands in the air and shrug my shoulders days.
Weekend was rough for me too, I started Friday at my lowest of 236 and started this morning at 238. I did splurge on some keto-friendy peach cobbler on Sunday and snacked on way more than would during the week, but still I didn't stray from my diet so it was kinda of a bummer. The nice flip side is that as long as I stick strict with the diet during the week I usually drop about 5 pounds. Progress is progress, right?
We did stop in at Marshalls on Saturday and I tried on some new pants. I've been a 38 waist for about 10 years now (was 40 at one point for a couple of years) and my pants have been fitting really baggy so I decided to find a new size. I jumped straight to a pair of black dress pants in 34 and I was completely amazed that I actually fit! Now it is really tight around the waist but I was still able to button them and it held without popping, haha. From what I guess is that I should be able to comfortably fit in them within a few weeks, so they're now my "goal" pants. I will be estatic if I can make 34 my new waist size, I don't think I've been in a pair of those since jr. high school! It will keep my "on the wagon" with my weight loss too, if my pants start fitting tight then I know to back off the free grazing for a bit.
I use the "clothes fitting" goal to keep me on track too lol, i was pushing 40s several years ago. now i'm a solid 34, depending on the brand of clothing. my 36" Levis will slide down my hips without a belt now.
i've got some 35s that are loose too haha! i special ordered them a long time ago when i was thin as a teenager. now im in them again trying to wear them out... my wife wants me to throw out all my old clothes, but i just got to where i can fit in them again hahaha!
today was chest/triceps,shoulders day!!! i crushed it, cause i'm sore now lol
204.6 this morning, not my lowest, but rather just waking up and weighing myself for the day. Anyway, other than the day I weighed myself after mowing, this is my lowest standard weigh in. I think I broke down the 205 wall's barrier.
excellent! By Friday i bet you could be a solid 204!
i just had blueberries, apple slices, some almond butter, and a chocolate protein shake! it was delicious!
