its neat when you're body starts talking back hahaha! most people see cramps like that as a 'sign' to quit and go back to a bad diet, but its really just your body adjusting. it always passes (lol)
& i agree, if you are still losing weight, then keep it like it is! when you quit losing weight, i'm sure you can tweak it to get you back on track!
your lettuce supply is like my salad, mixed veggie, and bean supply haha! i usually have enough prepared on Sunday evening for all 5 days of the business week, but sometimes i run short and have to grab something else, like that celery. or in today's case, leftover steamed asparagus, because i didn't have any salad ready.
My brother went to the doctor - doc said he needs lo lose a lot of weight because of his liver. and his wife is gonna try to get him in shape! she asked me for some diet plans... i got a little carried away and texted her about 30 texts since last night about how i've been eating to keep lose the fat & keep it off. each one was a small paragraph hahaha! i guess you guys can imagine dince you've been reading or skipping my posts for a while now
You have a lot of good info, but for me, reading some of what you do, seems overwhelming compared to my approach. Those of us who need to diet, or are just beginning the diet thing, think of diets as a huge task, and speaking from experience, in the past, it has always been a huge task. Timing, Traveling, Temptations, etc... etc.. This time my push has been my determination, my new love of my lettuce salad with a bit of seasoning, and seeing the results on the scale. I am anxious to see where it takes me.
i'm well aware my friend! truth is, i don't know how to wrap it up into something simple except for a few things i've come up with over time.
here's one:
*eat whole foods
*eat foods high in either protein and/or fiber
*don't eat foods high in saturated fat, salt, and sugar
*drink plenty of water and exercise
here's another:
*modify WHAT you eat
*reduce HOW MUCH you eat
*be consistent on WHEN you eat
*drink plenty of water and exercise lol
my problem is that there's just so much more info i want to share! but in know that the information is too much, that is until someone has dieted as long as i have. then you start to pick up on tons and tons of little things that make it work. i'm still busy tryinig to find those little things in other people's diets & routines. that's how i keep myself moving forward. gotta keep working on the swing to get better!
oh by the, i know my routines and stuff sound complicated, but they aren' really. i make it simple. Don't eat the bad things, Do eat the good things, Don't eat too much of it, and stay active! that's basically what I see you doing different but the same, and its working for both of us!
I was up a bit this morning, but once again, I gave plasma yesterday,
This weekend I will be going to my mom's and she must have some Italian in her, because she isn't happy until you are stuffed to the gills with food. I will have to explain that I am on this journey and want to eat really light. : )
I haven't lost as much this week as the previous two but on the other side of that, if I maintain this weight till my check in, then I have still lost way more than I set out to do for this period. I am anxious to weigh in on the 14th, and see what the comparison is for the month.
I weighed in at 242 this morning which is my record low! Unfortunately I was also at 242 a week ago and it seems that the weight isn't coming off as well as it did when I started. I fluctuated up last weekend (regardless of actually eating right and not cheating) and it took its sweet time to trend back down. The crazy thing is that I have been eating french fries and funnel cakes the past two nights (HUGE no-no on Keto) and ended up losing several pounds the past few days.
That's it! I'm done! This makes no sense!!!
..........jk, not sure whats going on but I figured I'd vent here and keep trucking along
I do need to set something consistently heavy on the bathroom scale every week or so to make sure that thing isn't reading funky, that is one variable I haven't looked into.
I will say that I can weigh myself 4 different times on my scale at different spots on the floor and have 4 different weights show up. Must be some kind of unevenness on the floor.
I typically try to weigh myself with the scale in the same place each morning.

Yup, same here. We try not to move it around and it typically stays within 1/2" of the same spot 24/7. We have also noticed that you can get off and on several times in a row and get the exact same weight, but if you do a walk around the bedroom and come back it can fluctuate almost a pound! I wish there was a scale that was dead reliable and affordable, buy I'm not sure if such a thing exists.
same here with the scale, if i move mine around, it flucruates +/- a half a pound.
you know, i think when guys like us eat a calorie bomb like funnel cakes and french fries, i think it:
(1) dehydrates us a bit so we show to be a bit lighter,
(2) the overload of carbs gets stored in the muscles for a sort amount of time in the form of glycogen, and
(3) starts getting stored as fat when the excess is great enough.
Then instead of burning fat over the next day or so, it just depletes the glycogen in the muscles. Path of least resistance. and by a day or two out, we've re-hydrated, effectively being just a little bit fatter & heavier than a few days before.
^^^That would also explain why long distance runners 'carb load' the day before an event. muscles are saturated with glycogen. and they burn all of it & then some the very next day. they never give it a chance to stick lol i'm kinda guessing here based on my reading over metabolism, but it makes sense to me!
I am up .2 lbs from last Monday. Spent the weekend with my mother, who I am guessing is part Italian? "Are you sure you had enough food, here, Eat, Eat.." I was doing very well on weight lost up till Friday when I went to visit. I will start over again today, and hit it hard this week. I have 8 more days to weigh in for my 2 lb loss, but I am down quite a bit more, so just got to maintain the course.
i had a chaotic weekend. didn't get to do my normal workouts. didn't have much of an appetite either. came out weighing 180, so i'm happy lol, but im exhausted!
