Let me take that down the strip once.....
Grumpy, Prudhome Bob Glidden those where all at the same time, but different classes. Garlitts, he was before them. Bobs son Bill still runs many classes, and is an engine builder for a few.

Seriously, with that kind of power you could drag a lot of weight up a steep hill VERY quickly. The problem would be wiring the brake controller...

Would also be fun to put your mustang on the drag strip w/ trailer next to jdadamsjr's Excursion with a similar trailer. If it stayed together, your Mustang would demolish his PSD...or mine, for that matter! Would be nice to silence the "Torque is EVERYTHING" crowd....

Wanna try?

Grumpy isnt retired... He is still an engine builder. I forgot what team he is with now, but he was building the engine for a young guy out of Elyria Ohio. but they parted ways , I forgot what tem he is working for now. He's the old guy with the white hat, rolling a cigar back and forth in his mouth... Still carries a little pocket notebook at the line... I love those guys.

I also help on a pit crew for a couple friends front engine dragters. 1 is Nitromethane, and the other is Alcahol. I forgot the classes. AA/SD or something.

My days of pullin are done... I got a couple calls from friends, this weekend is Bowling green nationals. (truck pulls) I won the amature class 4 years in a row, then had to give the truck to my exwife, in a divorce.

Don't think traction would be an issue with about 1000 lbs of tongue weight
