When all the gas runs out because all these V10 guys are using it like water I can still run my diesel off McDonalds fuel.

My 7.3L 97 won't start, it cranks over, but no start. I changed the IDM and the HPOP but no smoke or start.

It's easier to just stop more offen and it still only comes out to once a day, at least lately.
My AE allows double swipe and at some stations would run me $125 on single fill up.
Good thing to know is, that each time you swipe the card at the pump it locks max amount from your credit line, till the actual bill arrives.
Meaning if I swipe it twice and use only $20 on the second run (with $75 max on the first one) it will take $150 from my credit line. If you drive long distance and fill up 2-3 times a day that can make big difference.

Look on the top of the block right at the front under the trim panel. You will find a small plug with a hex for a Allen key. Take it out and top it off with oil. If your oil blead down it will not reset the sensor until this is full of oil it only takes about two ounces. My '96 was bad for this. Once topped off it would fire right up.

Swap out that diesel for a V10 and you won't have to worry about it.

I imagine this would be the best place to ask...are the SD chassis the same regardless of the engine in let's say an '02 PSD and V10?

The cabins are, but there are big variations between suspensions even for the same model.

I imagined since the diesel is quite a bit heavier, the suspension would be as well.

If I recall it correctly, diesel is about 300 lb heavier than V10. I am not sure if Ford makes stronger suspension because of that. Do you add leaf spring while taking your mother in law for a ride?

I think your wrong here. The weight difference between the gas engines and diesels is just that. I haven't found a difference between the suspensions or chaises. Granted there might be a difference in the fuel fill spouts etc but that's a component of the engines type of fuel not the chasis.

You have to also add all that extra weight that the diesel heads have to carry in spare parts to keep them running. Not to mention that case of Marvel Mystery Oil, 2-3 spare fuel filters, Seafoam, CPS(at least 2), extra 2-3 quarts of Rotella(just in case), and at least 2-3 gallons of 100,000 mile coolant for you 6 leakers....oh yeah, I forgot emergency injectors, HPOP, maybe I forgot something.....you fill in the blanks.

Pap (been there, had all that crap)

funny, i have had 2 7.3's and 2 6.0's and never carried any thing you mentioned. i guess you gas guys have soaked up too many gas fumes while you were filling up. one good thing about owning a v 10, you never go thirsty, miss a snack , or have to hold it to go to the bathroom since your always near a gas station! i've owned a v 10 before.
