PA would you happen to have a pair of the smallest beltline trim for a 73 CC. I am missing both sides of that small trim piece that goes between the doors. My truck looks to have never had them as there is no holes I can see and the paint is OG. Also interested in the rear tailgate full deluxe trim( I need the upper blacked out piece). Can you help? Thanks...Mo in CA

I had to make one of my upper small trim pieces for between the doors out of a front door trim. I cut off the sloped section and made a new piece to fill in the end... I also has to make both lower small racetrack trim pieces for between the doors out of a front door piece that I was wailing to cut up.
I have recently purchased this truck and have replaced the in-cab fuel tank due to rust and I am now looking to try to replace the 2 mid-ship tanks. I have had no luck finding replacements and was wondering if anyone on this thread has replaced theirs.
77, did your have it, or was it never installed. Mine does not appear to have had it, but I can see them not installing if the rest is there though.
My truck originally didn't have any trim on it when i got it. I had to lay it out and drill all the holes and install the plastic clips. For the pieces between the doors i used the same mounting clips as the cab corner pieces. I think i had to drill a 3/8" hole for the clip and then a hole for the screw. Here's a couple pics of the piece i made.
My front door does line up perfect, it just wasn't closed all the way when i took the pic.
For the end piece i just filed a piece of 16 ga aluminum to fit and epoxied it in place.
Nice work. I have a guy I found at the last swapmeet that silver solders and makes whatever you want. Since I guess these are as rare as hens teeth I may have to go that route. That's if I even leave the trim on kids want me to make a pre-runner out of it, with fiberglass fenders we will see. Thanks, good info.
