I'm curious if anyone has experience with the following options for a replacement headliner center trim strip?
1 - dodge ram charger center strip. Supposed to be the same
2 - 80s dodge van. they supposedly have the exact same piece for their headliner
3 - one of those plastic strip dividers they sell to install between sheets of paneling or marlite panels. I'm thinking this is A nudo v29, v47 or v55
Any other options that folks have come up with, in the last few years?
I was walking thru a parts yard today and looked thru quite a few 80's and 90's dodge and ford vans. Only 1 had something that looked like it might be worth using.

From what I can remember, mine was more like v45 or v59.
I found a 1987 Dodge B-350 van in one of the nearby pick your part yards last week. It still had one headliner divider in place. The divider had one small piece that was chipped on one side, but I grabbed it and brought it home and sure enough it's a nice fit to replace the one I have now that is in worse shape.
Word on the street is no they never existed. Some on here here say they did. There's no supporting documentation to prove they did exist.
ok. Well the price seems right for what it is (cheap). Seller said they didn't exist either. Wasn't trying to pass it off as a unicorn, so at least he's honest.

Are 65-66 CCs allowed here? I’ve had this ex-Forest Service truck for about 5yrs now, blew the motor not long after I bought it (the price was VERY right, so I wasn’t that pissed). With the scarecity of this particular model, should I restore to factory-ish condition? Or swap a later (76 ideally) 4WD chassis? Ive seen these go for BIG BUCKS heavily modified (think Icon’s Cummins swap CC). In a perfect world, I’d build an FE, 4WD, w/ disc, and power steering to make it a little better at living in the Colorado foothills.

All help is appreciated, thanks!
Welcome, yes your crew cab is welcome here. Very nice truck you have there.
If it was me I would restore to factory but with a few upgrades, like you said, for better drive ability.
Happy to see you post up about your 65 crew cab here. I would also favor a factory build with the level of modernization or customization that makes you comfortable enough to want to drive the truck on a regular basis. I know that means something different to everyone. Welcome to FTE as a non-lurker
Yendrabuilt, cool truck - it is screaming for a period correct box to be put on...
If it were me I would keep the body as close to stock as possible, and swap in a modern drivetrain for daily driveability. I'm thinking 3.5 ecoboost and a 5 speed.... Nothing that couldn't be returned to all stock at a later date.

I've got a buddy that's building a 79 crew on an ecoboost chassis.
