Just looking at the number, yes it seems high. But go try to find a few 70 crew cabs that nice to compare it to. That could take years.
For sure, I tried to find anything to compare and only found POS examples. This one would require a new rear seat and I'd paint it at some point plus whatever gremlins the PO didn't mention or pops-up. It's not entirely orignal as these things were ordered to spec for railroad or government use as I understand. At some point, the correct bed, a couple of aftermarket fuel tanks and a 1968-69 grill were added.
At $12K, it could be a worthwhile investment...and driver. I just wonder if I can hold-out and find an even better conditioon SuperCab for this same money though. Thanks for the input, it's super helpful to just hear someone's take!
Have a 79 F150supercab that has the 460 PO removed the smog pump and bracket. I am having a problem locating the bracket. Any and all help is appreciated.

This thing runs so well that it passed the emissions test itself but failed the equipment inspection. I can't even get the damn title in my name until it passes nor can I get a plate so I can legally drive it and my 30 day pass is almost up.
so I have a 77 single cab f250 ranger 4x4 and I really want a crew cab so I’ve been searching around to find one and found this one. I figure with my single cab I have a good basis for parts considering it is completely rust free and 4wd so this being a 2wd isn’t a huge deal I can either do a cab swap with a flat bed on the single cab chassis or do a drive train swap on the crew cab chassis and keep the short bed. The guy wants $1000 for the complete cab and interior or $2000 for the whole thing check out the pics is this a truck worth saving?
If you could get the whole thing for 1000 to 1300 I'd say go for it, but there getting harder and harder to find. Just depends how bad you want one, and how much blood sweat and money you want to put into one.
Realistically my son loves my single cab but trying to fit a family of 5 into it is impossible. I’d love to keep an old ford around but it’s gotta be a crew cab. I’ve found quite a few last one was a complete cab with interior for 1400 unfortunately the roof was completely gone from rust so I passed it up. This will never be a show truck and a 800 paint job will probably be all it gets so I don’t feel so bad dragging the body through brush. I do however want to have a rust free truck so any rust issues will have to be addressed. I just need to find the crew cab with rear doors and rear interior and I’m set
Well my other option is to find something else so does anyone know of a crew cab with rear interior and doors at the least someone wants to part with preferably within 600miles of the California border?
