Good morning all. GratefulDave here. Why? Because my attitude is gratitude for the life I have.
Watching another beautiful moon set this morning as I sip on a cuppa' and contemplate the day.
Got some more of the sides complete yesterday....
Hey there 600, What are you planning on hauling? That OSB is not the strongest. But it looks like your making progress anyway.
I used a piece of OSB for a temporary tail gate on our little 4x8 trailer about 10 years ago and it is still in use today. It doesn't see much use though, mainly just to keep the small stuff from falling out I guess.
Evening Tim. Cooling down here. Transplanted several bunches of daffodils. Peas and beans sound good. Took the bike for inspection. Good to go for a little ride.
It turned out to be a pretty nice day, kinda cloudy and a little windy this afternoon but fairly warm.
Had to get my pearly whites cleaned up today! Did a little weed eating, and got the rest of the hose end timers installed. Maria for more stuff planted.
Hey fellow Washatonians,
Well I am still up north only now I'm at least on the correct coast, Got an urgent call from my manager back the 20th of March to go across from St John's Newfoundland to Kitimat British Columbia and do some turbine work. Seems our little brothers across the big blue pond (Italians) damaged a control ring on a brand new turbine and so had to figure out how to replace the ring, retime all the gears, and reset the inlet guide vanes to the proper angles, this job has never been done in the field before so new procedures developed. Then we find out someone had tried to reconfigure the other 3 machines, unsuccessfully so reconfiguring those guide vanes also then add to this they installed the wrong hydraulic actuators on all 4 units so we now have to do that modification also.
Evening Tim. I got a battery put on the wood splitter today. It just seems too easy. However, I still didn't split anymore yet maybe tomorrow.
I have an older bike, 82 Suzuki GS750T. It has more zip that I want to deal with. Pretty handy though to run and get little stuff with better gas mileage.
Your irrigation system sounds pretty nice. We normally have dependable rains here so that watering isn't needed. That is up to the last two years. Last year I was taking the trailer with a tote on it and filling it at the creek down the road and them using an old water pump and generator to water stuff. Not bad work but very time consuming.
Fantastic Friday morning Washington, Jim, Eric, Wayne, Ken, Steve and all the crew.
Looks to be a beautiful day in my woods and hope you have the same!
Good Morning Guys! Happy Friday, glad this week is about over from all the happenings here this week. From a giant cold storage warehouse burning to the ground Sunday that's still smoldering, and a double murder-suicide-child kidnapping on Monday/Tuesday that made national news, we need some down time and to relax enough to enjoy the nice weather on tap. Looking for 70 and sunshine today with a light breeze.
Wayne, I heard about the kidnapping, sounds like they caught up with the guy in Oregon and lucky for the rest of us he shot and killed himself.
Steve, I remember that bike you have, I wanted on! Then in 1983 Honda came out with the 750 Interceptor and that is what I bought. It was a lot of fun, until it wasn't. I crashed the bike into a river, long story but I survived.
I have 1977 Moto Guzzi Convert. I bought it back in 95, burned a piston in her and had to put it in storage. I got all the parts to rebuild and restore her but now I just need some time to do it.
Then I got my 52 International L121 that's gonna be a frame up restoration.
The Bronco just needs some minor wiring repairs and interrior work but she is drivable as is, good times on the beach.
Evening Tim, Charlie and Eric. It seems the pressure of life is getting to a lot of folks these days, no matter where you live.
Tim, that liquid cooled bike seemed pretty fancy back in the day. Sounds like you really cooled it in liquid. It is amazing that we survive our own youth.
Eric, you have some nice toys, hope you get home to appreciate them soon. I am home everyday and still can't play with all I want to. I have a '73 Yamaha that used to be on the road but has been sitting for at least 15 plus years that I would love to get loosened up. Then there are other vehicles that will probably never move again under their own power in my lifetime! LOL
