We had snow blowing around on the rig today, but what can you say up here off the coast of Newfoundland.

Hi Eric,

They say it is going to turn cold next week and maybe get a little snow!

Ringing in the new year being lazy, just how I like it. NCAA football games on one TV, Farming Simulator on the other - coffee the first half of the day, adult beverages the latter half of the day, both Fords parked safely somewhere they can't break
Too cold to wanna work in the garage on anything. Kids are back to school tomorrow, but I took a few more days of work.
The search for a class A coach continues as I await test results and insurance compensations for the travel trailer.

Still learning and probably need to go look at some in person, but this is what I've got so far.
Main requirements: diesel pusher, slide outs, bunk beds for the girls, 7000+ lb tow capacity so we can pull the Mustang and car trailer around to tracks.
Preferrables: Side radiator, 52% wheelbase-to-total-length ratio, Cummins or Cat pre-def years (2000s), monocoque chassis, enclosed bathroom (not pass thru)

Open to super-c also, but the bigger the better I usually say. I think a 43' tag axle would be awesome.

Also, I am not looking for a fancy 6-digit home on wheels. We are weekenders, not taking a mortgage or 401k cashout for it

I don't know how big of a search perimeter you're looking at, and maybe you've seen this, but it sounded like something that might work for you...

Looking for bunk beds cuz I don't like converting living spaces to beds. Having a bunkhouse in our TT spoiled me. My girls could leave their stuff in the beds at all times, which was nice. Not ready to give that up.

For now (I have been refining my search every day) I'm searching specifically for I guess what is considered "luxury" coaches, as opposed to "production" coaches and I'm looking specially for Oregon-manufactured coaches like Beaver, Country Coach, and Monaco. Still waiting for the trailer situation to resolve so I know our target budget, but I'll turn whatever the trailer situation produces into a down payment and plan on financing some so we can shoot maybe for 70-80k total. Not sure yet.

Not a good week for football in the Seattle area -- first, the Seahawks missed the playoff, then the Huskies lost the championship game.

Lastly, Pete Carroll get sacked -- which may not be a bad thing at all, given that his teams kinda under performed lately.

That last one kinda surprised me. At first it was said he resigned, which didn't surprise me given his years of tenure and age, but then it came out it was "mutually agreed", which typically doesn't mean resigned on his own accord. Hmmmm. Wasn't expecting that. Oh well. Moving forward, who could be his replacement? Who else will get the sack, both coaches and players?

Howdy guys!

Trustin, Sounds like you're looking for a nice unit!

I'm not much into football so, I don't have a comment on the Pete Carroll thing.

I can't say what happened since I wasn't there, but the other option available in these 'mutually agreed upon' resignations is often 'firing'. Of course firing the winingest coach of a franchise is something that owners not like to do, so they try to avoid it as much as possible -- in this case, he'll be an advisor for some TBD time. Given the owner's comments and Pete's previous comments, this was most certainly initiated by the owner -- it wasn't Pete who wanted to get out of coaching.

Had the Seahawks beaten the Rams at least once for a season's split, it would been the Seahawks who made the playoffs, not the Rams, and that probably would've been enough to keep him HC at least for another.year.

Hmmmm. Wasn't expecting that. Oh well. Moving forward, who could be his replacement? Who else will get the sack, both coaches and players?
I think there are 8 HC vacancies in the NFL at this moment with Darth Hoodie (Belichick) being the last one who 'agreed' to give up coaching. As for players, the roster usually changes quite a bit from year to year.

It's 21F right now which is unusually cold for my place, but I measured 8F 10+ years ago on my porch one morning, and compared to that, it's not too bad.

Looking at the forecast, we should get back to 'normal' (43°/37° and rain) by Wednesday.
