Thanks Rod,

Hi Steve.

Rod, I couldn't get your link to work. Let's see if this one works.

General Wire Gen-Ear LE™ Water Leak Location System (globalindustrial.com)

This one is probably a bit much for our small group of 19 users. But I like the idea of it. I may reach out to one of the local waterworks contractors to see if they have something like that. Maybe just hire them to come in and see what they can do.

ThongTastic Thursday Washington, Tim, Wayne and all the crew. It is Friday for me at the Sammich Factory and I can't wait for 1730!

Mike, there are similar units for under 1k and they may work very well for you. If you have very much pipe underground and ling spans, it still may be worth it. It wouldn't hurt to talk with someone at a water works and see if they can help!

We are going to dig on a connection next Wednesday. Later today I will reach out to a company that may have one of those Ultra Sonic listing device.

Good morning Washington Ford Fans.

I talked to a local plumber that has an ultrasonic leak detector but they limit there search to 200'. And then because of our location being close to a fairly busy road they didn't give me much hope.

They did recommend another company out of Spokane, we will see how it goes after our exploration dig next week.

@NFG600 How's your big truck coming along?

Wondrous Weekend Eve Washington, Tim, Wayne, Ken, Steve and all the crew reading to party the evening away! It has been a nice day in WV in the low 70's and some rain. But the rain had been light a made the day comfortable.

Back in the early 70's Colombia Gas would walk the streets of my hometown once a month listening for gas leaks. They would walk the sidewalks (and grass on side streets) next to the main roads and streets, they could tell the difference between a gas leak and water leak. They did all the town lines and often notified the Water Company of a water leak. By the way I grew up semi living next door to the water Co. and spent a lot of time with them. I also had many a friend and some family who worked for the Gas Co who's main Office was in town.
And as another side note, My Mother started working for the Independent Telephone Company in about 1963 and Dad about 1968. Mom was the office manager and assigned trouble tickets. When someone did pay their bill for several months, she was the one who went to the line finder and stuck a toothpick in the contacts!
Dad was hired by the Company to oversee the construction, setup and operations of one of the first Cable System to be in operation. He also did Telephone work and central office work. So, to speak I cut my teeth and went through Puberty at the Phone Co. LOL
As another note, I had a sorted past growing up as a child. We also owned a Driven Theater and Skating rink! OH, what a childhood!

Sensational Sunny - As I type - Saturday morning Washington, Tim, Wayne, Ken, Steve and all the crew. The Soothsayers crystal ball prediction has failed. Thursday and even Friday morning they were predicting rain yesterday through Sunday afternoon. Yesterday evening that changed to Partly sunny today, upper 70's the next several days, light breeze and no rain for the next 4 days!

Becky set out the Tomato and Jalapeño plants yesterday, we have been eating Strawberries sense last weekend. Most of the Herb plants are in full bloom or ready to start the season harvest.

Tim, I must admit that I had a great childhood and was involved in many more thing that very few got to see or do. Many of the things would get families arrested and jailed now but were the normal back then. I am truly thankful to have grown up when I did.

Hope you have a great weekend and Ma nature is kind!

Good morning Washington Ford People

Rod, growing up in the late 60s and early 70s was definitely a much better time. One of the craziest things I remember from High School was the shop teacher letting us bring our guns into shop class and teaching us the right way to clean and lube them, a couple of us even refinished the stocks on our hunting rifles. Driving around drinking beer, getting pulled over by the local police and all that happened was they took our beer and sent us home! Oh Boy, those were the days!

I remember those days also. We had an Army JROTC unit at my high school. When I was 16 they made me the cadet supply officer so that meant I had keys to the office and the combination to the safe with all the armory keys in it. We had 40 fully operational US army M14 (Springfield Armory calls the civilian version the M1A). I had access to the firing pins, both blank and live ammunition, all the good stuff. Now days they would never allow that to happen. I still remember during deer season a lot of guys would be driving the old family trucks to school instead of their cars and most of them had gun racks in the back window with guns in them, No body messed with them. Get done with school and run out to Fort Chaffee, deactivated army base 10 minutes from Southside High School where I went and do a little hunting before the sun went down.

I'm back in Kitimat now, had to make the dash from here to Denver Wednesday afternoon to drive up to Fort Collins on Thursday to try and get the modification kits I've been trying to get from the manufacturer, Woodward Controls, for the last 6weeks. Finally got them yesterday, flew back up here last night getting in about midnight, brought them in this morning and the guys are working on the 1st unit now.
