Good morning WA...and...wandering postitutes...Happy Weekend Eve!!! Gonna be a decent day here before some rain moves in...hope MA Nature takes good care of you!!!
Wayne...hope you can save that Japanese Maple...gorgeous trees. I've got a couple in my backyard...planted them when I bought the place 38 years ago.
We got the last two meters installed yesterday, we got all nineteen meters installed now, Yeah Baby! Two 10-hour days in row was like having a full-time job again. We still have a couple places we want to do some exploratory digging, but the meters all in.

I'm a little concerned since I was depending on it for fill in towards the front.
I showed your picture to my wife, she is a good at what she does! She recommends cutting that lower branch off at about 1/2" long on an angle almost parallel with trunk and putting some sealer on it.

Tim, is your water supply a well or reservoir?
Wayne, many of those ornamentals don't seem to keep many lower branches from what I have seen around here. Is that a Japanese Maple?
Steve, Our water supply is a well, I'm not sure how many gallons it produces. It was drilled I believe late 60s or maybe early 70s. We have nineteen shares and sixteen active connections.

Good morning Ken, We bought our place 33 years ago, it has changed a lot since we bought it.

Thanks Tim, is this to eliminate the branch for tree health, or to promote it's regrowth?
Fantastic late Friday afternoon Washington, Tim, Wayne, Steve, Ken and all the gardening crew. Despite mostly overcast and some mist on the windshield, it has been a nice day. Currently 63° and in the afternoon at its height 73°.
Wife got the potatoes out last Sunday, Onions are up 10-14 inches, Carrot tops are green with about 1-2 inches of new growth and both kinds of Kale are up 2-3 feet with plenty of blossoms! Most of the Herbs are doing well and the Strawberries have plenty of blooms.
Tim, sounds like you are about to finish the water project. Is the well water treated?

Both, eliminating the branch and promote the growth of the main tree.

Luckly, we do not have to treat our well, pure clean water!
Rod, Sounds like your garden is coming along nicely.
Evening Tim and Wayne. Pretty calm here thankfully. Two 10 hr days is a lot of time on the go. You must be thankful to have that done. You have quite a nice well if so many can use it. We are using just a Spring here. It is great water.
Good morning WA...Happy Saturday For All!!! A soggy start to our day...improving to mostly cloudy this afternoon with temps in the low 60s...hope MA Nature is treating you well!!
Sensational Saturday morning Washington, Tim, Wayne, Ken, Steve and all the crew.
Yes, we have a good start to what little bit we put out but it is Still too early for some things.
Another beautiful day in WV with all day warm bright sun and according to the Soothsayers crystal ball predictions 68°. Which is seasonable for us but I suspect we will see in the 70's this afternoon and I will not have an excuse to not mow again!
Went and had coffee with a friend this morning, he had a pretty bad stroke this last fall and has been living with his ex wife all winter. He's doing well considering, very little to no speach problems, but has some memory problems of actually how to say some words and is relearning how to count and recognize numbers.
Then off to the Earthday fair for the rest the day. It turned out to be a nice day, started a little on the cool side but got up to the mid 70s this afternoon.
Joyous Sunday morning Washington, Tim, Wayne and all the crew. Starting the day on the cooler side at 38° this morning but headed to a high of about 58°. Yesterday was nice at about 70° and plenty of warm sun. I sat out front most of the afternoon and enjoyed it!
Off to Mom's for my Sunday routine.
Tim, sorry to hear about your friend and hope he regains his health!
