A friend gave me some 4" steel pipe to use for a small culvert, I had to weld a few pieces together to get the length I wanted. I'll try and remember to get a fineshed photo tomorrow. I hope it works like I think it will. I also hauled some brush up to the burn pile. Other then that, just milled about strategically.
Merry Monday morning Washington, Tim, Wayne and all the crew. I hope everyone had a great weekend, rested up and ready for the new week.
Beautiful day in WV yesterday at 83° and mostly sunny and rain held off everywhere I went.
The weekend is over and time to get back at the things you are at!
Washington, Tim Young is your new chapter leader after having the open period for those that were interested to volunteer. So let's congratulate him on filling this position.
Evening Tim. Driveway work can be difficult! Amazing how much time it takes to do simple jobs. I finally got the hydraulic remote actuator leak fixed on my Ford 861. I had to replace a bushing and get some packing. I really miss having some of the supplies I need available to me at a workplace. I had to buy 5 feet of packing to use just 2-3 inches. Oh well, plenty for the next time.
I have started hardening off my pepper and tomato plants. I start them under lights next to the furnace in the cellar. Well, they are coming on and now they have been in windows of the garage and the barn as the first step since Friday. I have 8 flats with 11 4 packs in each. They would hold 12 but I leave one out to be able to pour the water in the tray and not top water. Today I had three of the flats on a bench behind the house in the shade most of the day as there wasn't and real wind. Another week or so I will have them all out in full sun.
Steve, What did you do for a living? I grew up hanging out in my dad's automotive repair shop. After High School I did an apprenticeship in a Peterbilt dealership and then went on to work on simi trucks for several years before changing professions. I retired from the telephone industry after 40 years.
Sounds like a good start on your peppers and tomatoes.
Here is my little culvert from yet another angle. It makes the ATV access much nicer.
Good morning Chapter Leader Tim...all of WA...and...wandering enthusiasts...Happy Saturday #2!!! Gonna be a splendiferous day here...hope you're getting one as well!!!
I've been back to having tons of fun, seems my customer in Kitimat forgot to mention that engineering had recommended doing penetrant testing on the compressor we just repaired. So I had to get a case written and get their official recommendations so back to BC Sunday for ????
I still have to do hydraulic actuator modifications on the 4 brand new machines because our little Italian brothers keep holding back on what they did in the past. Been trying to get our purchasing people to get there act together and get the kits to do the work on all 4 units, but that seems to be asking to much for people to do their job correctly. So instead I get to pull the stop blocks out and have the machine shop mill off 0.070" off all 4.
I'll be taking 3 days week after next as the 1st of the Porter grandchildren is graduating from high school the 22nd.
