Merry Monday morning Washington, Tim, Ken, Steve and all the crew. Yesterday was a beautiful day and I spent most of it with Mom. I saw 81° and plenty of sun while sitting on the porch with Mom.
Well, it is time to get this week started and back to the Sammich Factory I go!

I love My Job, I love My Job (repeat multiple times till you believe)
Had a little training with a young Italian yesterday about the typical noises made by aeroderivative engines when you are turning them over by hand. He was hearing the typical clinking sound when it is slowly rolling as the blades are assembled with quite a bit of clearance so they make a clinking sound when it rolls. He also was not maintaining constant pressure on the gearbox so it was making noise from loading and unloading the gears in the box. Training Complete.
Then we found out a few weeks back they were supposed to have performed a modification to the hydraulic actuators on the machines and so I spent 3 weeks trying to do a purchase order then Thursday and Friday of last week we went round and round and I was finally able to pay for it with a credit card. Now I am stuck waiting for the supplier, Woodward Controls in Fort Collins, to let me know I can pick up the parts so I will fly from Kitimat to Denver, pick up the parts that afternoon and fly back the next day.
Thanks for the Birthday and Anniversary wishes. We didn't do anything special; we were planning on taking a picknick type dinner and going out to the little fishing lake with our boat. But the wind kicked up all day long, so we put it off. I would like to say we are going to try tonight, but we are just about out the door to spend some time trying to track down the water leak on the community well system. That is going to put us behind on the chores around here.
Evening Tim. Belated birthday wishes and anniversary as well. Took the plunge and put in most of one of the bigger gardens. I normally wait to Memorial Day, but the ground is really warmed up as it needs to be. That plot is 75'x30'. It now has potatoes, various flowers, yellow beans, Swiss chard. Zucchini, yellow summer squash, kale, two rows of onions, red beets, parsnips, golden beets, carrots and garlic. Still room to set the peppers in maybe next week. Still making sure they are hardened off enough. I will also plant another row of yellow beans later as I like to stagger to not have them all at once. Blew the belt on my tiller so I had to stop and replace it. Now to order another for the next time. I also brought in more big round stones the edge the bed in front of the deck. Big stones are much heavier than they once were.
Good morning Leaking Tim...all of WA...and...wandering enthusiasts...Happy Hump Saturday!!! A soggy start to the day here...hope MA Nature is treating you well!!!
