That is a very interesting view! Pretty serious fencing in the fore ground.
My next door neighbor has 4 acres between me and the refuge. Their house is back aways so we have an awesome180 degree view from the south east to the northwest. They're cattle ranchers and all the land in my neighborhood once upon a time was cattle pasture. The fence is a remnant from days gone by. All their cattle now is spread on thousands of acres around the state. This is their winter base and in a couple months will be gone for 6 months up north to their summer headquarters.
We do get some of the most incredible sunsets here I've ever seen in my life. Here's a few of my favorites.
OK, technically not a sunset but I thought shareworthy.
We have lived in the hills for years now and not on top of either. The sun goes over the hill in the summer about 3 or 4 hours before it sets. The only way we get to see the sun set is to go down town. Once in a great while when I was still working I would get out early enough to see the sun rise. Now I just rely on photos.
Sensational Saturday morning Washington, Tim, Wayne, Ken and all the crew. Tim, same with me living in the hills a little off the ridge. I have to go to the top of the hill to see the sunsets, but I get to look down the hollow and see the sun rises! I do get some nice views of that!
Wayne, I agree that you have nice collection of pictures and no two will ever be the same!
Evening Tim. Lots of rain here. Hope to get back in the woods Teus. Hope you are feeling better. You have to many things you want to do!
Wayne, very captivating pics. I never tire of views like that. We have a Western horizon in view from our house but in the 38 years we have been in this spot, I don't believe I have seen as many great sunsets as you have posted. We are often cloudy here.
Joyous Sunday morning Washington, Tim, Wayne, Steve, Ken and all the crew. Looks to be a typical Pre-Spring Day in my woods with some sun and in the mid 40's. Nothing wet or white!!
Off to do my Sunday routine with Mom, Church, Church crew lunch and maybe porch sit at Moms for the afternoon.
I hear ya, I live on a sailboat up in Anacortes and its been sideways for like 48 hours now. Sposed to die down round midnight but I think we have another cyclone inbound for Wednesdayish.
My wife and I are still battling this nasty cough, but we are getting better, just slower than we would like. We did get out and did a few things today. We cut off and pulled out our last Almond tree, time for a change. She did a little weeding in a Rose bed, and I worked in the shop for a while.
Steve, Did you get any more truckloads of wood?
Sorry to hear you guys on the West side are dealing with the wind. It has been a really nice day here in the North Central part of the state.
