The simple pleasure of just cutting up some brush and sitting around and watching it burn is something that many folks will never experience. We are blessed in this country so far!? 20 acres is a nice size to have some space. We have 16 with about half of that wooded. We are on a South facing slope and don't really have a whole lot of flat land like the folks in the valleys do but we get by.

Howdy guys,

Late check in today, It's just been one of them days where it seems like I have been busy all day but not getting much done.

Yes Ken, I did get a little shop time, mainly rearranging things so I can move the Bronco project around to install the engine and transmission,

Good morning Ken,

Thanks for checking in. It warmed up out my way, 39° this morning with a little mist.

Headed to the Big City today, the main reason is I'm my ears tested.... What's that? For the last 6 month along with the constant ringing in my ears, I started getting at times what sounds like birds chirping. I called in November to have it checked this is the first appointment I could get.

Stay warm over there, Ken. That global warming will kick in sooner than you think.

Good luck with your appointment, Tim. Hopefully they can help you. I think ear ringing is just a part of life, or getting old or something. I've got a pretty good screaming in my head, too. Sounds like the old Emergency Broadcast System tone, in stereo, from inside the middle of my head 24/7. My understanding is there's not much to be done for tinnitus.

Hi Wayne,

That's what understand about tinnitus also. If wouldn't be for the intermittent bird chirping thing I wouldn't worry about it. The bird chirping thing I can only hear when walking or sometimes moving my right arm and only in a quiet place.

Noises like that can be strange, and strange feeling. From time to time I have a faint crackling sound that sounds like something burning or an electrical short. Typically in a quiet setting like when in bed. When it first started I was driving myself nuts looking for electrical outlets or power cords with a bad connection, that's what it sounded like. I could swear my house was going to burn down. It took awhile to realize it was 'all in my head'.

Well, my I have some hearing loss on the high frequencies, pretty much the same on both ears. No explanation on the noises, it's one of those things that happen after years of riding motorcycles and working around load stuff without ear protection. The last thirty years I have protected them for the most part, most the damage had been done in the first 35 years.

Evening Tim. The ringing and noises can be unsettling. Then you find so many others experience similar. Never heard of the "birds chirping", but we are all so different. I hope your apt. went well.

Hi Steve,

The appointment went well, I have some hearing loss, about the same in both ears. He couldn't find anything wrong; he said the bird chirping noise is just another form of tinnitus. I'm just not sure if that the case, it doesn't happen all the time. And at times it gets pretty loud, it seems like a trip to the chiropractor has helped.
