Good morning Washington truckers!

Started the day by running around the neighborhood on our ATVs reading the water meters, Maria hung out out with me while I read the meters.

We finished blowing out all the irrigation yesterday. We were best decided to go out for dinner to one of the nicer pubs, $83 bucks for pub food and one beer!

The Caesar salad was good, Maria had the pub burger $22 bucks and what we make at home is much better. I had short ribs Mac & Cheese, the short ribs were good, the Mac & cheese just didn't have any flavor. A pint of beer was $8 bucks. Then they want you to tip 15%, I tipped but that not that much.

Oh well, you play you pay!

Good Sunny Morning All,

Another storm should be coming tomorrow I believe.

Tim, I agree that pricing is absurd. Not as expensive as the west side though. The nick name for Anacortes has become "CantaffordUs".

That's about what I pay for groceries for a week Tim. A friend spent $284 at the market for her family of 2 adults and 3 toddlers last week!!!

I know what you mean, you can a lot of food for $83 bucks. And Maria is such a good cook, besides Pizza (She doesn't make Pizza) there just isn't anything out there that compares. It's really is disappointing that you spent $83 dollars for a meal and it doesn't really have much flavor. If we would have came out of there and said that was really good stuff, we probably wouldn't be having this conversation and we would be looking forward to next time. Unfortunately we lift the place disappointed.

I was in Spokane a while back and went to lunch at a Irish Pub, $32 bucks for lunch with a Beer. It was great I'm looking forward to going back next time I'm in Spokane.

Another thing that is irritating is that when you pay you have to select a tip, you can select no tip if you want, but WTH why do I need to tip? Can't they just pay the server enough that I don't need to tip if I don't want to.

Tim...I don't eat out a whole lot...but...virtually every Sunday morning I head out with some friends for brekkie at a local spot. We all get out for $15 including a good tip.

MA allows tipped servers to be paid a minimum wage of $6.75 while the state minimum is $15. There is a question on the ballot to raise servers minimum to $15. Most servers I've talked to or heard express an opinion are dead set against it...they firmly believe it would cost them $$$. We'll see...Election Day is tomorrow.

Merry Monday morning Washington, Tim, Ken, Wayne, Steve, Preston, Nicolas, Ken and all the crew. Another beautiful day in my woods of WV with sun and heading to about 78°. We started at a mile 50° and I wouldn't be surprised to maybe go over 80° today.
Tim, glad you and Maria had a good time on the ATV and checking meter reading. Did you narrow down the leak yet?

Add for dining out, it has become too expensive at many of the so so restaurants that I see many of them closing. One I hope that goes Kaput is Buffalo wild wings. Still Peed at them for going WOKE!
But we have several nice places here that has a good menu and still very reasonable in price. Rant Over! LOL

I hope everyone had a great weekend, Ma Nature was kind and you have a wonderful start to the week.

Good morning all,

My first job in WA state when I was 15 was TIP ONLY.

My second job at a dinner in Kansas was 3.75 an hour + tips in 2009, same reason as MA.

CurrenTly raining sideways.l this morning.

It was raining this morning, seemed to quit about 1030. The sun was out for a bit, the forecast is for mostly cloudy for the rest the day. Setting up a new raised garden bed today and taking down two old ones.

Got the bed sorta put together, and we got the trailer load of bark put down. We put down pond liner first, it does a good job at keeping the weeds down.
