Wondrous Weekend Eve Washington, Tim, Wayne, Eric, Ken and all the crew reporting. Most of this week has been an unusually nice week in my woods. Today we started at 54°, headed to about 65+°, some sun and later tonight some rain. The weekend will be about the same with Sunday a little cooler in the 50's.
Wifey and I did our Friday routine, home and settles in for the rest of the day.
One Apple tree stump is out. The Almont tree stump is not going to be so easy. We cut it off too short to start with. More digging after lunch it appears.
Ended up not working on the stump any more today. Took a load of garbage to the transfer station, moved some big rocks off of the upper driveway that came down this winter. Then we moved a large compost pile and started a new one.
Sensational Saturday morning Washington, Tim, Wayne, Ken, Eric and all the stump removers. By the pictures, it was a pretty day to be outside with the sun. It was a gray day here but very bright and I saw 63° yesterday. It may have even gone higher, and I didn't see it. At 2130 last night it was still 58° and felt really good setting out front in a flannel!
Started the day at 52° and needed rain started 0715 and ended a little before 1000 with 32/100th of and inch. We should reach 63° just after noon and maybe some light rain early evening for about an hour.
Wifey and I didn't do much yesterday except our usual Friday routine of going to town. Post Office to get the mail, Lunch at our favorite restaurant, Feed store, weekly grocery shopping and home. I piddled some here inside and wife canned several things she had in the freezer, waiting until she had enough for a full canning. A couple qts of meat sauce, pints ground beef, 2 qts beef stew, one qt and half of pork liver and some tomato sauce!
Today Wifey is going to help our friend with sheep and wether several. I am not sure how many she has!
As for me I will be doing my Domestic Househusband Chores. Laundry and some cleaning.
POD, Take our recycle glass to the drop off area, finish up putting the compost pile together and put a little time in the shop working on my ELS (Electronic Lead Screw) project. I 3D printed a mount for the ELS controller yesterday to mount below the DRO.
Looking forward to a good meal this evening. Maria is preparing a pork roast for this evening's meal.
Had a new project pop up, the pressure relief valve on our hot water tank started leaking. Not all the time just periodically, I checked the pressure at 63 psi, temperature 130°. Maybe it just went bad, I have a new installed now.
Another beautiful day in the neighborhood. I'll leave you guys tonight with a shot of the sunset over the lake with the ducks enjoying an evening swim.
Wayne, Thanks for the photo, looks pretty peaceful.
The Pork roast turned out great! I didn't get much done on the POD. Other things kept me busy. Went to town dropped of the recycle glass, went to the hardware store and bought a replacement pressure relief valve and a new faucet for the shop. Came home and replaced the pressure relief valve in the hot water tank while Maria fixed the pork roast. Decided to take a lead for @Sailor Roy and take a nap.
I did get the shop sink tore apart only to find out I need new longer hoses to connect the new faucet.
