That's only because he very kindly stopped and took the time to take progress pictures for Tristan.
Heck, 10 years ago, Jason could drop that 2WD in less than an hour, just by standing there and staring it down.
Including the buckets... piercing eyes he has.
I believe it too! I've seen him in action!
you have no idea how I appreciative I am with everything he's doing for me! And the rest of you too, you've all helped me loads!
Looks like you will need 4X4 to get that truck anywhere after tonight!
Yes, it just started a rain/sleet mix and looks like snow at the higher elevations. Forecast yesterday was ‘up to 12” of snow’ through Sunday night, but I haven’t looked today.
This getting old stuff is definitely slowing me down! But, I like this pace.

Slowing down is one thing...not remembering where you put things is a whole other story! Getting old is getting OLD!
Unfortunately the track bar bushings I bought are the wrong ones. The only track bar bushings for the early 99 model trucks that energy suspension had are way too big. Not even close. I couldn't force it if I tried. I don't really want to go through the hassle of sending them back so, when I come up to Georgia in February whoever needs them is welcome to them. Because I'm doing my swap next week, I will see what Amazon and RockAuto have to offer versus the auto parts store. The end link bushings fit fine. They were a bit annoying to get in place but we use the supplied bolts and washers to press it all together. I already destroyed the old track bar bushing getting it out. So now I have to replace it https://www.energysuspensionparts.com/4.7128
The only thing RockAuto has are the bushings for the late 99s and the only track cars they have are for the late '99. I can't find any early 99 stuff anywhere. Auto parts doesn't have anything either. Only the bigger bushings.
Might just have to replace the track bar itself with the updated one that has bigger bushings I think I'll get these https://www.prothanesuspensionparts.com/61217
Seems like rock auto has the early 99 bars with bushings but not bushings by themselves
Unfortunately I already saw those but they are the wrong one. Not saying they wouldn't fit but the date is for March 99. Where is my truck was made in 98 but is listed as a 99. My track bar has much smaller ends than that one. That is the first updated design I believe. My track bar has 15 and 1/2 mm bolts. Basically.they updated the design in March of 99.
Forgive me for I am young but what is a heim joint?
And also how would I know exactly which one I need? Measure the diameter of my track bar eyelet hole?
Got my new 32 spline 4x4 pitman arm in today as well. Some 2ft tall 6 ton jack stands coming in tomorrow. Once I get my track bar bushings sorted out and reseal my leaking input shaft on my steering gear I'll be ready for the swap. I think I'll reseal the gear when I start the swap. I just did a reseal on the gear but the cheap auto store seals didn't work on the input side. They had to get a different brand for the input shaft seals and they were cheap. The pitman arm seals held up well so far. Still planning on the swap next weekend.
I will continue to refer to Jason's kind information throughout the swap and in the future!
