I will remove the tires. This will require jacking I-beams a little to get tires off. Then, I’ll remove calipers and hang them safely out of the way until 4wd axle is installed. Then, install the calipers and swap the hoses out - minimizing fluid loss.

Going to clock in now. Coffee is gone and I’ve stood in front of the heater long enough!!! Lol.
Ahhh I see! And If you do it that way the truck will be low enough to get the axle and leaf spring in without having to lower the truck down to it. I was thinking about using those little wooden square dollies with 4 wheels on them. We may be talking about the same thing. I figured one under each rotor. And I remember you said that you put all the brackets and hangers on the truck first and then roll the axle and leaf springs up to the truck and bolt it together like that. I got to thinking, if I tried to roll the whole assembly in with the brackets still on the leaf springs it would be a pain to get all of those bolts started with the nuts being inside the frame rail. It would be a lot easier to bolt the brackets to the frame and then just put the Big bolt through bracket and leaf spring as you mentioned. Then you would only have four bolts to line up instead of 12 or whatever the case is.
Let me guess, the torque spec for all those frame mounted bolts is a few ugga duggas from an impact huh?
It's about time for me to get off of lunch break myself!
Took about 1.5hrs to remove all of the 2wd stuff. I’ve still got to remove coil buckets, but needed new brake hoses first. I forgot the 2wd hoses go through the coil buckets....

I didn't even think about the brake hoses going through the coil buckets. I got the brackets off of Joel's truck where they mounted to the frame instead of through the coil bucket. What exactly do you need to change / replace? The main brake hoses going down from the master cylinder? Or would having the bracket off of the 4x4 hoses work? I would think having these would fix the problem wouldn't it?

You are holding the 4wd brake hoses. That bracket attaches to the frame. The metal brake lines are the same on 2wd/4wd.

Ahhh okay. I was unsure what you were talking about when you said you need a new brake lines. I thought you already had the new soft lines. Just a misunderstanding!
I know what's wrong with it! It ain't got no gas in it!
You're moving right on along Jason! I agree. A steering stabilizer should fix it!
Well, all of my 4x4 goodies got delayed for a few days so maybe I will get to put my bushings in this weekend. But of course and as always it was nice and sunny all week and it's going to be storming all weekend. Isn't it funny how that works?
I was under my truck the other day and it looked like I had place to mount one, but nothing installed. Was wondering if it never had one or if it was removed at some point.
Someone else will be able to share the specifics of when and where they are used.
My 2001 F250 Lariat did not have a stabilizer (looks like never, I’ve had truck 10 years). I added one last year. The bracket was already present wheel side. I ordered a kit from Summit for the clamp on bar mount.
Dad’s 2000 F350 XLT did have a stabilizer. He bought the truck from the original owner but I have no idea if his was factory.
