I'll have to look into that online deal, I have been pretty lucky with the oil filters at the local Walmart. I've got fuel filters & air filters from Ford dealers that sell on ebay for good prices without cost for shipping, where I also got a fuel filter cap with the drain & WIF sensor. My cap had the stop broken off of it when I bought it but I've just been keeping track of the turns to remove & put it back that way w/o any problems so far.
BTW maybe I better check myself I have 13 gal of 5-40 & 7.5 gal of 15-40 sitting here but then again my son works at the local Ford dealer as a service writer & has had to turn folks with trucks away from oil changes because they didn't have oil.
13 GALLONS?!? I freaking love it! Nice!
Anyways, while watching ARod's video on the Banks site, a short video popped up from him about this from H&S Motorsports...
Ironically enough… this is the video that made me pull the trigger on my PM…it had been near the bottom of my list since before I got my truck I think… then I came home one day not all that long ago… clicked on this video, pulled up FTE and next thing I knew I had submitted a order for the PM on the Banks site! Lol.
And to be honest, it’s usually either left on Stock or City 1…

Speaking of 13 gallons… have you seen this short video from ARod???
The deal with the Donaldson oil filter kinda surprised me, I always thought them & Baldwin were at the top of the heap. I still would not hesitate to use one though.
How could anyone think putting 13 gal of oil in one of these trucks even sound halfway right.

It sounds like the Donaldson uses a better rated filter media than the Motorcraft but yeah, I won't hesitate to use the ones I have after the warranty is up.
I use two Filter Mags on my oil filter anyhow...

i remember buying 4 Donaldson s when I had an a 5.4 . Never used them and I think they are still laying around in the garage. No drain back valve. So check that.

You mean bypass valve? They have one. The video I posted above shows that they do for Donaldson P502503 which is the one for our trucks.

no
drain back valve
it prevents the oil up in the block from draining thru the filter . It’s a rubber ring that blocks the filter holes when not under pressure. Basically a flapper valve. You can see it by looking into filter.

with out the valve…every start is a dry start.
It has one. The rubber or silicone (whatever it's made of) is bigger than the Motorcraft filter. Watch the video and it shows it.
ROFL
You got any snow pictures you would like to share?
Was starting to post some up Bone but the site crashed on my phone...
Last night took a ride to my nephew's in the hardest hit areas and it was a total schitt show... Lots to see but had to drive my truck through the deep ruts and heavy snow still on the mains... (Roads)... No time and hands to take pics...
