“The historic diesel crunch comes just weeks ahead of the midterm elections and will almost certainly drive up prices for consumers who already view inflation and the economy as a top voting issue,” Zero Hedge noted in an Oct. 20 analysis. “But while the White House claims to be so very concerned about the coming diesel crisis, it is doing absolutely nothing besides draining the SPR (Strategic Petroleum Reserve) which has zero impact on diesel production.”
Zero Hedge continued: “In a testament to just how clueless the Biden admin is, last spring wholesale diesel prices surged to all-time high as inventories plunged in April and May, pushing retail prices to a record high. At the time, this website (and many others) warned that we have to take urgent steps now to avoid a crisis… and nobody moved a finger; jaw bones on the other hand never stopped. Well, fast forward to now when a new crisis is in the making. America typically uses the low-demand seasons of spring and summer to rebuild its stocks of distillate fuels ahead of the winter. But it failed to do so this year – something even Europe avoided by stockpiling nat gas knowing it faces a freezing winter otherwise – and stocks are now nearly as low as they were in April, at the end of the last heating season.”
Before this is all over people will be burning the dining room table and chairs to keep warm. Not to worry because without diesel there will be no food. So none of this will matter.

wow
so I should go out and fill my dozen five gallons containers.

Wouldn't be a bad idea fritz...
I have (6) 5 gallon containers of gasoline for the wife's and son's cars. I have (1) 5 gallon diesel can to fill up. I have plans to buy more... Hopefully to have and NOT need.
I saw this on my news feed. I am not sure why there is a shortage because diesel is less refined than gas. The east coast is worse than the west.
Diesel here is $5.99 to $7.15.
I bought fuel yesterday at Mobil at 5.17. Today it's at $5.69.
The car wash went up to 5.39 from the last price of 5.29.
It's going to at least 6 bucks here with what I just posted if true....
No fuel hoarding allowed because I won't have fuel for my truck.
I'll fill my tank, overdose it with K100D+ and park it if I have to. I'll take the wife's 11 Ford Escape and she'll have her co-worker pick her up for work.
Let's not forget all those big trucks that deliver all the food to stock the stores... and the trains and planes.
Okay looking into problems with the 10R140 transmission of the MY 20 trucks, I found these guys. Looks like there could be potential problems with the 10 speed trans.

oh goody…a new problem thread. We were due for some new content.
HAHAhahaha...
Nah, just mentioned this because it was brought up in the recent CP4.2 problem thread...
That trans business I linked to makes a modified valve body for my truck's trans, 6R140. I'm thinking I would go for a modified valve body for improved fluid flow and more upgraded parts for longevity than buy a shift solenoid or that electronic line pressure increaser from BD diesel.
I know fluid is cheap so I did 3 pan drops/fills in the 97k miles the truck has but looking to keep trans going for many more miles. I also want to get a B&M aluminum pan at one point also. It retains the factory "O" pan magnet but would also epoxy those high temp rare earth magnets I added to my factory trans pan.
I think there is a guy in the 1999 thru 2016 forum that used to work on prior model ford tranny assembly line….he pops in once in a while and slams anyone doing anything aftermarket …so good thing you didn’t post this over there.
so yes, I have the pan from afe, do fluid drop and fills often. Filter has been changed at least once.
notbing strange on this tranny yet. Except for I stopped using engine brake ….fluid looked muddy and the expert said it was supposed to look that way becuase lv looks bad over time vs sp looking new over time.
