The oil pan deal for our trucks is pretty interesting, I like the drain & the idea of 16 qts. The 1 qt out of a gal when I change oil is kind of a pia keeping 3 qts around

I am looking at going to the PPE oil pan for my 22, maybe the next time I change my oil... depends on $$$ though.. I may have to wait til the next time! LOL. But it also holds 1 extra quart of oil, so I'll be up to 14 instead of 13...At least I can just split a gallon in half instead of fourths though!

It's wild how they all add different amounts of oil but looking at the two, even though I'd have to buy and use more oil with it, if I did go with an aftermarket oil pan, I like the SPE better as it has the tapered design to drain all the oil out with the placement of the oil drain, uses an O-ring for a gasket and has the indents cut out to pry the pan gently off. Plus the option for the oil heater coil if one required it in super cold areas...
I'm not sold on the idea yet as I'd rather spend the money on a B&M trans pan.

I like everything except the o-ring gasket, unless it isn't proprietary but I get the impression it isn't a Ford o-ring. I don't want to depend on SPE for o-rings for the next 10 years, no offence to them but I've seen companies like that come and go too many times. If I can't get an oring then I'm trying to get a seal with silicone without good surfaces... Of all the improvements they did make that I like, that o-ring is a real show stopper IMO.

While I agree with the not wanting to depend on someone else for the o-ring that machined groove is pretty much the same deal as the finned alum diff cover that Ford made for the '08 that I have on mine now & always sealed good with silicone. I ran the same cover on my 2000 for over 250k miles with no problems so I'd think there would be no problem with that oil pan & silicone.
I'm with you Dave, for 3 or 4 hundred bucks I believe my steel pan will be just fine

Dave - here is my Blackstone UOA on my 6R140 @ 75,309 miles. I hope you don't mind I scrolled back up to find your sample results and inserted them as images in this post to make it easier for others to see and have all of these results in one post.
The first image is the Virgin Sample
The second image is Dave's Sample
The third image is Dirhawg2.0's Sample
A bit of background on these two transmissions - Dave daily drives his unloaded. Myself I daily drive mine with a 6.5k trailer in tow and an occasional tow of an 8k travel trailer. My truck has seen very little unloaded driving except for 2 cross country trips totally 8k miles unloaded.
Mercon LV Virgin Sample - Compliments of Overkill2 6R140 @ 24,500 Miles - Compliments of Overkill2 6R140 @ 75,309 Miles - Compliments of Dirthawg2.0

Outstanding Dirt!! Thanks and no problems... Anytime!
Looking like this LV fluid lasts longer than what I expected but having said that, I'd rather change it out (or rather drop 8 quarts and put in a fresh 8 quarts) sooner, maybe I'll go 40k miles next run and see... To get fresh clean fluid in to drop the contamination levels...

I'd be interested to see what you find, that's a nice price on that filter & may be an option
I also see that Denso makes a filter for our trucks and seems reasonably priced as well...
I believe Denso makes the factory filters for Toyota... The Japs usually make pretty good stuff so I may order one of those as well and cut it open too...
Overkill - more reports on the Better Diesel FBC and Hot Shots Secret EDT and LX4. 2020 F350 SRW 23121 miles. Last 3 regens must have been mileage forced because soot level was only like 40% according to idash. Distance since last regen was 496 so the additives seem to be working.

Thanks for checking in Squirrel. I see you have a 2020. Were they lower before?
My 16 always went between lower 400s up to about 500 miles. I had one active regen before the software update for the NOx sensors. It went out about 4-- miles. My regens now are lower than they were. I still have my notes in the truck so can't tell you at this moment what the particulars are for the last few.
I use K100D+ and Pittsburgh Power Max Mileage FBC currently. I want to examine my DPF when I go with a 5 inch DPF back tail pipe and see if it has the lighter color I've seen on the pictures that Pittsburgh Power posted on their website. That would indicate that the Max Mileage is working.
