VTL 375 Section 41Colored and flashing lights. The provisions of this subdivision shall govern the affixing and display of lights on vehicles, other than those lights required by law.
1. No light, other than a white light, and no revolving, rotating, flashing, oscillating or constantly moving white light shall be affixed to, or displayed on any vehicle except as prescribed herein.
2. Red lights and certain white lights. One or more red or combination red and white lights, or one white light which must be a revolving, rotating, flashing, oscillating or constantly moving light, may be affixed to an authorized emergency vehicle, and such lights may be displayed on an authorized emergency vehicle when such vehicle is engaged in an emergency operation, and upon a fire vehicle while returning from an alarm of fire or other emergency.
Here's the definition of authorized emergency vehicle:
thinking more about those Diode Dynamic rock lights in amber, I could see them as being legal for me when I plow because I can put on the hazards and have them flash if I wire them into the running lights/turn signals. I personally do not see a major concern with them as they would shine down, in low power mode, and only flash when the signals or hazards are on. They certainly wouldn't dazzle or blind anyone with them under the vehicle.
But who knows, there always at least one ***** cop, sheriff or trooper out there... just thinking out loud...
It's flashing red and white lights -- that's only good for an authorized emergency vehicle... which your privately owned F450 is not... or my F350 for that matter.
Now if you wanted to put amber flashers in your grill, on your roof (smaller amber strober, maybe) or somewhere in the rear, I'd think you could get away with that as extra light for visibility for standing or parking, or during extreme weather. But the combination of flashing red and white light would not be legal for your truck.
Excellent Bone... Take before and after pics when it gets darker out... I just ordered pieces of. Their shrink tube sized for their application from VLEDs with a set of their new radial lens design for my rear V6 Extremes 3157s.
Going to overkill mine... Pics and commentary to follow. Stay tuned...

They take enough where I can some of my own money back. When the tax laws were changed under Trump, we stayed about where we were at prior to with deductions. So while I'm not celebrating having to pay my high NY taxes, and federal as well, we make out out pretty good.
Oil change/fuel filter change>> how many priming cycles do you use?
I changed my oil this past Monday...
Took her for a ride to get it hot... Perfect day to change it... Sunny and in the 20s. Not bad at all. Warmed up in the 30s.
Just over 22k miles... Filter didn't look bad.
Next to the new filter.
Genuine Motorcraft set only.
I went with about 20 priming cycles... At least 18.
I used to do just 12 to 15... And the engine would crank a little on restart... Not immediately fire up. This time she did. So I will do this from now on... 18 to 20 priming cycles for the fuel system after replacement.
How do you guys make out with yours? How many cycles do you do?

Good job waiting for the truck to say when the filter needed to be changed. I don't know how many cycles because I let the dealer do it. I don't have anyplaced to get rid of the fuel. Also noce to see you waited for the truck on the oil as well. I think these trucks are smart.
Trying to upload my light stuff but for some reason it won't work. will try again tomorrow There is a huge difference now. My side light were burnt out. both sides.

That's what I've done, but have had at two changes at 5k miles I think at the dealer where I bought but would have to check my notes...
In the past, I've just drained my fuel in my used oil containers because my buddy's shop uses an old school shop heater with used oil...
Now I have smaller containers that i use for the fuel... the fuel that was drained, there was very little stuff that came out with it.. looked pretty clean at the bottom of the cap. The DFCM filter looked good too...
I've been getting my oil analyzed for awhile now and it always comes out good at the truck dictated OCIs.

Now I am leaning towards more towards the Morimoto and I will post up information why, for me, going with the Morimoto, even though it's not as bright as the GTR, is better for me... stay tuned...
