Can you imagine how much stuff the 23's trucks have that could annoy you if they act up. Now mind you I do like some of that stuff like the weight things buit have the figured out Sync yet. My 125 is pretty good but not perfect. The Sync in my 12 Taurus just drives me nuts. Another thing is there are some updates but Ford quickly moves on to the next version and they never find a fix for the early versions that just don't get it.
So I ran into this guy today, a late model Ram with the 6.7 Cummins and obviously deleted. He was saving the environment from all those DEF bottles and was rolling coal whenever he accelerated. It must feel so good blowing that black smoke while saving the earth...
I tried to get a better pic but you can see the faint black smoke on the right... It was way heavier at times. Must be awesome just throwing fuel away like that out of the tailpipe.
Does he not deserve a present from our special LEO
Funny story... my buddy owns a collusion shop in the town I work in and he's one of towing companies that tows for the police when we have accidents and require tows during traffic stops. Anyways... He's a Ford guy and just got rid of his 2017 F550 6.7 flatbed because the warranty term was ending. It was well under 100K miles. He couldn't get a new Ford flat bed due to the chip shortage but could get a 2022 Ram 5500 flatbed. He hates it. Says it shifts like schitt, squats lower than his Ford flatbeds and a bunch of other stuff. He can't wait until the F550s are available because his salesman already told him he get $$$ on the trade in because he doesn't put a lot of miles on his rigs. But he does say it'll haul a car just fine...
Another thing that annoys me about the Cummins guys is most have to put a big C sticker or two on their back window. Apparently there ain't enough emblems on their trucks to let them know what engine they have...
And truck guys know what trucks have what engine... you don't need to show off a big first letter of the type of engine you have... that also means you GM and Ford guys as well...
We called a lawyer to save Diesel Tesla from the EPA
While I do drive a stock, emissions regulated truck and do bash the drivers of deleted diesel trucks who blow heavy black smoke, that doesn't mean I am 100 percent opposed to deleted trucks nor agree with the Gestapo tactics of state environmental agencies and the EPA.
With that said, deleted trucks who run high power tunes or race tunes in a daily truck and in doing so, throw copious amounts of black smoke due to the unspent or unburned fuel coming out with the exhaust which makes all diesel truck owners look bad, then I don't feel sorry for them if they get their ****s slapped.
Plus the fact that running a truck like that in an over fueled situation as a daily driver is probably not the best for any daily driven engine. But not my money nor my responsibility. It ain't cheap being cool. That could potentially be the case for dealing with those agencies in charge.
In the case of responsible owners of deleted trucks that are daily driven, I have no problem with those. They are some who HAD to delete to overcome problems as they are those who chose to. But a stock power or tow tune is much more responsible than a race tune that throws out all kinds of black smoke.
I understand and agree with that non-emissions trucks have their place in the aftermarket world of racing and pulling. I just don't agree with them being on the roads everyday. I understand the benefits of deleting and to be honest, if or when I have problems down the road and it was legal to do so and had heavy aftermarket support like they used to, I'd probably would delete with a stock power tune and/or tow tune. But it's not so I won't because my daily driving keeps the emissions and DPF system functioning and happy. It just is what is here in New York state.
But to come in and tell someone that their property has to be destroyed because of a state regulation and levy huge fines is not right and against someone's constitutional rights. I am referencing the online sale of that Ram Cummins powered truck in NJ. How do they know what the prospective buyer of that truck will do with it? Use it as a parts truck, use it for racing or pulling only, part the truck out or whatever? Unless they are willing to give the seller the money that he paid for that truck, then they are violating the 4th Amendment.
Since this NJ resident internet sale drama has already been referenced here, I thought I would post up this video of the drama that Rich of Rich's Builds is going through.
In N J you can not even buy a box of .22 shells without some kind of damn gov card.
So after living near there for several years this doesn't surprise me at all, still pisses me off but doesn't surprise me.

Oh trust me, I know what you mean. Our Queen Governor told the Supreme Court, who made New York a Constitutional state, "Hold my beer and watch this!" by basically outlawing every public place as a "sensitive area" and illegal to carry concealed in public next year in April.
It bothers me when people from more conservative states assume that all folks in a blue state like mine are flaming liberals. Truth is, that is the furthest thing from the Truth that one can get.
But I just thought posting up that video, still have to watch the whole thing, would be a good follow up to that NJ story about the deleted Ram being sold online in your state.
