It’s nice to see people that care about quality wiring! I’m a big fan of solder and shrink wrap myself. Made the mistake of trusting the 12v “Guru” in the town I used to live in to build me a set of headlights, got the pickup back and had scotch-locks installed on the wiring, disappointed was an understatement. Never again trusting someone without seeing more than phone pictures of their work.
A pair of needle nose pliers made the reinstall of the outer 8mm bolt MUCH easy than without...
I cannot wait to see how these torches throw light. Stay tuned folks.
Looks good... I bet they work as good as they look. And a 8 year warranty to boot. I made it... 15% left on phone battery. See you guys later. Good night..
And another thing before I forget... The adapter harnesses from Diode Dynamics come with a tab on each side probably because of all the different makes that they are used on. When you install them in your Ford, put the side with the "+" and "-" on the Diode Dynamic male connector on the opposite side of where the clip is on the female factory connector. They don't work the other way. Guess how I found out...

Anyone who uses scotch locks for something that isn't meant to be strictly temporary should be publicly flogged.

Use this side to lock in the factory foglight connector.
Jollyroger- I think the offenders should have to eat a box of scothlok as punishment. Nothing but electrical disasters. For mock ups and testing I’ve been using the Wago leverloks. This is fine for low amp circuits
Overkill - all LEDs are polarity dependent. If they dont light up always try reversing the polarity as you discovered.
@Squirrel13 Wago lever nuts are great. I've never used them on anything automotive but use them on residential wiring all the time. I use Wago wall nuts too.

I just recently learned about those Wago Connectors, those things are awesome! The factory used them in some areas of my travel trailer. Had to order some from Amazon to install an additional vent fan that didn't have 12v wiring already in place.
I was just looking at my bumper today and I have room for one pair in the center cut out in the bumper. I could do a set of SS3 SAE driving lamps at one point. May stay with the yellow. Nice setup you have there.
