In Feb when we moved from CO back to KY dragging the RV the 2020 was able to passive regen the entire 1200 miles. There were 2 quick forced regens due to 500mile intervals but they were short and idash was reading 0%
Helifixer - hopefully I can get it in the tank and not on me. The EDC smells bad as well
I get it all in the tank with out the stupid hose thing. with the hose you have to take the hose off to store the bottle, now you have a wet bottle and a wet hose to get that stuff all over you, then climb in to a $100,000.00 king ranch truck and make the leather stink.
You guys realize you’re not supposed to use your hand to funnel the FBC into the fill hole and then wipe your pants and face afterwards, right! 😉. Seriously, I keep a pair of cloth gloves with the rubber fingers and palms on my back seat rubber floor mat to keep my hands from smelling like diesel (and additives), and I handle the FBC bottle, little hose, and hose plug with the gloves on. The FBC bottle stays in a double ziplock bag that’s stored in the driver’s seat back pocket. I don’t smell diesel or FBC because I treat the stuff and the diesel like it’s acid that I don’t want on my skin, clothing, or truck interior.
I went with Torque Pro on a cheap tablet that I bought on Amazon so I could track regens. Then I found out I could watch a lot more, and do.
Kodiak350 - Im with you all of that stuff stinks and can’t be good for our skin. All my additives, bottles, gloves etc live in the bed.
That's why I keep mine in an ammo can. If I had a cover, I'd keep mine outside as well. The K100 stuff has a pleasant smell but that Max Mileage stinks to the high heavens.
Hey Squirrel, what's that metal grid up against the rear of the bed there?
Now I'm still new at this stuff, but this pic has the turbine side, correct?
If so, I counted 11 vanes for each.
The compressor wheel is on the Intake side drawing in fresh air to be compressed. The turbine wheel is on the exhaust side providing the force to spin the compressor wheel.
my hoses go in the trash the day I open the box. I don't spill any without it and I don't have to smell like it.
Same here… I used that little hose once and realized it wasn’t the best option. I made sure both caps were tightened well, but when I turned the bottle up to let the fluid drain through the hose, the FBC dribbled from both caps. Getting it on my hands or gloves is one thing, but as expensive as it is, I would rather it all go in my tank rather than my hands or the ground. I decided I will just use a syringe. Less messy, able to be precise and I don’t have to worry about storing the bottle with the FBC all over the outside of it (although I still put it inside a plastic bag and it stays in the toolbox in the bed of my truck, which is covered by my tonneau.)
Thanks for the pics @Squirrel13 . Never heard of these guys before. I see they have the 11 to 16 stuff on sale which means they are moving it out. Going to make a purchase I'm thinking. They have nice interior stuff as well.
