Thanks. You have no idea how relieved I am that all that work gave a positive result.
Good to hear! You spent a lot regarding time, money, effort and ingenuity to get this beast up and running.

Perhaps, but some (many) on here would call you and I fools for spending what we spent on the "364.5 slapper". It doesn't really bother me though because my application (and your application) might be very different from another FTE'rs application. I went with the "cry once" method and went all in with the T4/364.5 and I am grateful that I have achieved the results I have. Besides the cost of the T4, the KC drop in turbos were NOT available then like they are now, so my choices were the first gen KC38R (which had some issues), GTP38R, the MST (what I had) or a T4 system.

I don't care if someone thinks I spent too much because it is my pennies that I saved up in order to achieve the goal of a well running truck. I saved my pennies for a year for a turbo upgrade and took nearly a additional year to decide, so almost 2 years worth of saving pennies. If someone wants to think I am a fool for that, it doesn't bother me. I was lucky in that I sold take off parts and brought my overall purchase price way down to near $1400 which was near the cost of a KC turbo anyway. I know not everyone is in the same situation, but it is what it is. We must each do what we feel is right for our own application. Be it a Turbonator, 364.5, 363, KC, GTP38R, MST or a 6.7L with big *** wheels and butt massaging seats.

Money is not everything and we certainly cannot take it with us. In my humble opinion, decisions should be made based on the perceived outcome with the financial burden as a secondary factor.

Since we have owned some of the same cars in the past, what does that make me? I guess a "never gonna be a race driver... " Oh well, we cannot expect to attain all of our childhood dreams.

I echo the thoughts from Jason, we are very glad to see this project coming to an end and you are pleased with the results.

Jason, you could be the next Turbonator victim... You went MST, GTP38R, 364.5, 363 and soon the Turbonator!

@Sous 's FordTruckNASCAR is sticker worthy. That note should be made in the "remarks" column on the spreadsheet.

FordTruckNASA stickers on the hood and roof of the truck.

FordTruckNASCAR stickers on the doors.

FordTruckNASTY sticker on the tailgate. (Right below your **** name.)

If Leonard makes it down to a North GA Meet & Greet next year, we may have to get a picture of him with his truck and the NASA disc that @SkySkiJason has in his shop!

FordTruckNASTY got a good laugh from me... Although, that one would need approval from his wife I am sure.

I'd be curious of the "All in" costs....after recovery of some used parts sales. Of course Leonard's time is incredibly worthless so there's no point at trying to put a labor cost on the install.

Thanks for the kind comments and renaming ideas everybody. The parts list in the first post has been updated. This should be the final version for this project. I have also moved the Name Log to the first post. FordTruckNasty will be **** name 2.

Love the new name!

That’s a hard no on me being the next victim...I mean tester. I’ve had enough turbo work for the time being. Time to move on to other PMS items.

Awwwwww c'mon. There's no such thing as enough turbo work.

@KubotaOrange76 I'm working on getting the exhaust video for you. I have not forgotten.

Hah! An excellent pun. My neighbors would beg to differ with you though. We had a dinner party before this whole social distancing thing and they dropped some not so subtle hints about how they hear the truck when I leave for work in the morning.

There is a setting in the Turbonator's software that lets me set how far down the vanes close at idle. Technically, it is the vane actuator's position since there is no way to measure vane position directly but you get the idea. It is currently set at 38% vane actuator position. They will not close any further than that in normal operation. The only time the actuator goes to 0% is when the exhaust brake/EBPV function is activated, and even then it is subject to a 33psi maximum back pressure limit. When that happens, it does indeed make the jet sound. I guess I have another video to make.

Thanks Carlos! So are you going to get one for your monster S476 now?

It sure is burning clean now! I doubt it was this clean with the 38r...maybe a little evidence is still showing under the bedside.

I really do think you may have the ultimate setup for the 7.3. Well done sir!
