Yes it is. Auld skool F5 even! Yeah I am quite pleased with how most of the smoke is gone.

Well hey there brother! I might be stepping up to an F6 just so I don't have to send the chip away for a reburn every time I change something though.

You could just get some ‘good‘ tunes if you were thinking about getting new hardware.

@Bonanza35 Chet, Leonard was recently telling me that Jody will move the tunes over to an F6 chip for little to no cost and a used F6 can be purchased fairly cheap if the right deal is found. I am sure Leonard can share some of his ideas and future plans with you if that was a route you thought you might like to go.

Just like the TS chip though, just because it is old and outdated does not mean it is not useful. Look at our trucks for example...

I've actually gone back and forth on this more than you will believe. I have decided to stick with DP for the following reasons:
  1. I am happy with the way the engine is running on DP's tunes.
  2. Jody's calibrations for the BTS transmission are spot on.
  3. PHP doesn't have any 205/80 calibrations, any calibrations for the BTS transmission or a decel tune in their library so I will have to pay somebody else for tunes.
  4. Fear of the unknown.

Exactly! I mean, look at the owner of the truck (i.e. me).

Thanks guys for the idea's. I am not very good on a computer so it probably wouldn't matter anyway. I bought a new desk top a while back and haven't even set it up. But when I do, I need to learn more about how to use it. I mean post pictures, down load tunes etc.. My son is a big help when he has time and can spend enough time when he comes over but he works all the time. He had a fuel leak in his 6.0 and I researched it and told him what we have to do, but he had know time and finally took it down to a diesel dealer and spent over $400.oo on what I told him was wrong. He did get the bottom filter changed to, but I would of been happy to do it for him if he wasn't in a rush. I guess I just put it off to long wanting to learn, and now am getting to old to hold things I don't use every day. God bless,
Chet

Chet, I spent many years in IT and very recently helped another FTE'r upgrade the hardware in his laptop and load Windows 10 to it. His tech support was trying to upsell him on a new laptop, but I was 99% sure he would be happy with the hardware upgrades and new operating system. He is very happy to say the least and it cost him a fraction of what a new laptop would have cost.

If you need any help, I can make myself available via text, phone call or email. I would be glad to help you out with anything I can.

Yeah, it is. Boost jumps up to 7psi when I hit the skinny pedal accelerating from a dead stop. It makes boost sitting still on high idle.

Isn't that fuel pressure high? Or am I missing something? But I like that response on boost.
