Yeah, I did something similar to my brake lines. The next time I need some lines there is a place not far from me that will custom make them to original. Just a little easier to tighten. I like the cab lights.

The clutch line is a fairly easy DIY that is inexpensive. How much does the fabricated replacement line cost?
Installed the gage cluster and tested the fuel sending unit! Good news is the sender and gage work together. Bad news is fuel gage reads 3/4 when the swiper is full up, two instrument lights refuse to light (all new bulbs), and my fuel float is at one with the saints its so holey!

I fought with that stupid cluster perimeter gasket the whole time. Do you guys glue it on to eliminate what I experienced? Or is there a technique to it?
I know its lots of small steps that converge in a milestone but today is fun! bench tested the tachometer since I had to remove it to fix the backlight. Also found the other light that wasn’t working in the cluster was a bulb I missed on the first go round ( I thought I did them all but NO )
Fun pics today...

New Warn hubs installed Parking and cab lights Under dash gages work on the dimmer! Got all the cluster gages working and lit off the dimmer! Reminds me of Stephen Kings Chrisine! Wait!
THERE! Thats the movie scene! LOL
I remember hearing awhile back there were about 1100-1200 units produced for 1960 F250 4x4s. Then you think maybe 1% still around. Those vehicles were used and abused probably less than 1%. So maybe less than 120 F250 4x4s that are from 1960? I have one.

I have only seen two 1959-1960 F250 4x4’s in person. Mine, one in a parade. It is definitely a very small list of operable units. I think Byrd.dog may have one too. I wish we knew for sure! NADA guide says that my 1960 F100 4x4 is worth more than F250 4x4 with all same options but that can’t be true! 1-Scarcity should add value, 2-higher work/hauling capacity should add value...
I welcome everyone who has 1957-1960 4x4 to chime in here with a picture of your fridge so we can do unofficial survey! Also let us know if it was built by you or factory high boy! Lets do it! Thanks all!
Out here anyways, most people buying vintage trucks want half ton shortbeds for cruising not working. Think the 4x4's were all long beds but maybe half tons were softer rides. People are cutting beds and frames here regularly now.
1960 F250 4x4 4speed, Monte Carlo Red (under there), manufactured in CA. Rebuilt 312 .040 over, 9:1 ratio, forged pistons with C1TE rods. For a heavy truck it get up and goes. Saving up for paint.

Nice looking ride!
This makes two of us confirmed here at FTE. Hopefully others will chime in but maybe I should ask in a new thread so its easier to access for everyone?
