Found out my machine shop guy had a death in the family and is settling the estate in FL! I might be finishing the truck and starting the bodywork before he gets back....
I would prefer a running truck for the painting process so I can easily move it around.
Angle grinders sure brought changes. I can't remember the last time I used a cutting torch. Beware the soft cup brushes from the unnamed tool supply that starts with harbor and ends with freight. Every time I try one it is like being attacked by porcupines. They work great for paint, rust removal until the bristles start to fly. Then you work pulling wires out of your jeans.
These took a couple hours but I like them! These are LED instead of bulbs so they should last lots longer with no contact points to corrode. They are bright too.

yes! Also when the brush gets old they throw them. They stick your leg too if its just right! But the benefits outweigh the porkeypine issue

Bought three parts from Napa and simulated stock hose 35019 rubber line, 1/4”x20” hardline, and 1/4”x8” hardline. Approximately $24 cost. Tubing cutter to match lengths bending tool, and double flaring tool. Final touchup bends when everything is in place.
You can do it!
I need to make one too. The rubber hose and hard lines come with fittings? You cut the hard lines and reflared?
yes. The rubber line has two females so two double male hardlines for each end, cut to length and double flair. Part numbers included above so you wouldn’t need to spend an hour in the hydraulic hose book like we did.
The new aluminum radiator bolted up perfectly! it will be nice to have a trustworthy cooling unit! (The mice had over 4# of shells packed in the upper tank of the original radiator as a home in the bed of the truck)
Perfect fit Rubber air guide meets the front as it should Excellent Adds extra bling bling to the engine bay.
