I figure this rusted square nut is a test of my resolve! Anyone else get the weird nut treatment in their build?🦨 Look closely to see the square nut over the stock nut My guess is the PO didn’t know how to tighten these nuts up by carefully hammering the flute slightly flatter
Does anyone know a place to get a new defroster piece? Im not convinced my aluminum tape work has “permanent “ in its title. Please let me know your thoughts! Thanks
We had a member here who started making them, ABS? Last I saw they were being sold at Macs the best I remember. Not sure if they still have them, haven't checked in a while. Back in 1975 when I built my truck I straightened them the best I could and covered them with fiberglass resin.
I looked on my cabs to see if mine were good but no duct in either cab. The donor cab had a heater coil with fan. It has a small square outlet for a duct guessing it was for the defrost duct. A neighbor gave me the cab after another now dead neighbor gave it to him so history unknown. I'm curious about my original f350 cab. It had no heater. It has the defrost slits in dash and long deflector but no sign of any connection to fresh air vent system.
