I removed the exhaust and wire brushed the manifolds good before putting VHT primer and 2000 F header paint on the whole exhaust system. I like the flat grey manifold look and am happy so far on the VHT flameproof header paint with ceramic.

I will use foam and then replacement will be the easy to get one Ready-Aire 398001 (napa number is NH9010244)
It was a fair amount of effort to remove all the old paint. Chipped off all that was flaking anyway and carefully sanded off the stubborn but crummy white paint. Its now primed and ready for the Corinthian White when I spray the interior.
I like your idea of a spare tire hoist, I`ll have to look into that for mine. I see you like DeWalt cordless tools too. That is excellent progress, everything is real neat and tidy.

Yes I needed everything together to drive around and test the motor and conversion pieces. Now it is stripped to paint interior! At least everything came apart easily this time!!
Has it been an eternity yet? I am sanding and masking...sanding and masking. This is probably why patina is normal! The vision I have for this project requires that I finish this beast. Lets make it one & done. New truck with 1960 styling is worth the $$, effort, and wait...

Sanding all old finish with 600 grit Dash needs more masking Three tone interior adds time and effort to the project. Hope it is worth it in the end...
