I pulled everything on mine. Cable ***** don't remove separately, at least I couldn't. I stripped everything and used the best from donor and original cab.

I hope the shop manual tells how each one is retained (appears to vary among the bezels)
Mine didn't have much. The vent cables were tough to disconnect at vents but had just a retaining but behind dash as did the choke cable. The light switch **** pulls off with a release button I think. I don have heater or radio.
The bed is not coming without a fight! Using all my tricks and still banging knuckles, elbows, and arms LOL! I guess 60yrs is a fair reason to be stubborn. I tried just penetrant with no result but Penetrant and heat has let them come lose so far (one with double endwrench cheater method). Was concerned about stripping the square holes if not done carefully. Anyone have that joyful experience with carriage bolts? Once that happens its a complete nightmare!
I was able to loosen most of the bed bolts just enough to push them up and cut the heads off, the other blocks had deteriorated and the bed had dropped allowing me some play to push the bolts up and cut the heads. You could also use a chisel to break apart the old bed blocks and that might drop the bed just enough to give the bolts some play to push up for cutting off. Obviously you would need new bed blocks and bolts and while you’re at it, may as well get bed cab and rad mounts.
good luck.
with the interior ***** and cables- I just cut any cable that was not budging and ripped off the *****. I figured that I’m only doing this once so I ordered all new cables and ***** + all door/window seals/felts etc.
I got 6 bed bolts to unbolt and had to cut 2 off. I have a nice tangle of wires to remedy for the towing/taillights. Anyone know where I can get the factory style two-pin male/female plugs to replace two of these?
The plugs I would like to replace (tail light side) Spaghetti mess (only half is exposed in this photo)
Some one else has spent time there for a few minutes. Almost artwork, you know, like modern art from the 60's! lol I have some under dash harness stuff but nothing for back there like those connectors.
So please tell me you took it for a short ride at least! You have arm signals!!!
No that was yesterday. I took it to the store one last trip knowing its “down until done” now. Its getting cold quickly this year complicating my timeline further...
Same thing here, snow this weekend. How do you heat the paint shop?
I have 3 main ways. Diesel 100KBtu turbo space heater, 30,000BTU ifared propane, or pellet stove depending on what Im doing. I used the turbo some on the hood and got a few no-see-um fibers in the paint (likely spiderwebs). I plan to use the pellet stove next round but the amount of exhaust my paint booth ejects sure cools everything down quickly!
Please chime in if you have done your blocks and can confirm or refute these numbers! I think oldbleu maybe did some recently. I bought some poplar wood for this.
