Hi Red60, looking great. Must feel good having it out and moving under its own power!
Ive been using a. Small upholstery shop for years, he does great work, reasonable pricing, looks professional at the end of the day. Usually better than factory imho.
Ecklers, I forgot all about them. Good call by Spurredon. I used to deal with them years ago, their products were really good. I see on their web site they have really expanded into a lot of other vehicles now.
Struck out on seat foam so far! I called Ecklers and they do not have seat foam for my application! They suggested I try my local upholstery shop. I went to my local foam guy today and he suggested an upholsterer too. To do it myself using latex foam and sculpting it is possible but very costly ($400 foam 36”x78” smallest available size). I will try an upholsterer next but a little dismayed.
I`ve been looking for someone to upholstery work for long and haven`t found yet anyone that's both reasonable and good. There is a local upholstery supply place that seems to be well stocked.
Good progress this weekend! Wetsanded and masked both doors off and they are ready for wipe down and white paint.
Cleaned the new windshield glass, rubber seal, and window stainless. Installed the rubber on the glass and then stainless trim on the rubber. Watching the LMC install video on YouTube made the task go much better (tips and tricks made all the difference)!
Doors masked Window clean with seal installed Dirty trim Clean trim This pile of window trim is why most window installers will not put the windshield in for me! Only one in my area would do it but they are a car restoration place that is booked until the end of time and expensive... All together ready to install!!
Feels good to have the new windshield in and done! I will show you my process to do it alone so you can ROFL...
I was pretty nervous about breaking my new window in the process but all is well!
Rigged to rafters using suction cups Lifted to height and tied off Rolled under and added two more suction handles inside About an hour of kerjiggering and pulling the rope Another 15minutes slapping the window and straightening seal edges
You're braver than I am. I broke my old windshield removing it so didn't even try.
Read post on #607 below the trim pile pic and you will see I was left with little choice! I am very glad I did not destroy $250 windshield! Back is done now too.

Had to heat the shop with two heaters because its snowing outside today! Temperature is 33F but I sprayed the doors white inside anyway. Found more suicidal flys today.
Various white parts before B4 B4 After After After Suicide #3. Acts like flypaper when tacky... RUDE!
I should have mentioned that was a clever way to put your windshield in solo. Must have been a lot of back and forth. Nice that you had the doors off. I got the wife to push on the outside while I pulled the string.
