I think it all looks great! Did you gas filler tube have paint on it originally?
Yes I sanded the original paint that was yellowed with age. A porta-power tool is handy, its a good idea. These bumpers are 3/16” steel and take lots of pressure to straighten!
Well done Red, everything looks amazing! It doesn't look like you sand blasted the cab before you started painting your cab. You mentioned sanding the gas filler tube, but did you sand any of the cab areas before painting? It does look like it was in good condition, just curious how you prep'ed for painting. I have access to a cab that is in really decent condition (the more I dig into mine the more I'm finding it's really beat up) and the other cab would save me a ton of fabrication time and money. It's got very little rust and can tell someone painted it probably in the 90's. After looking at what you're doing, I'm thinking I might be able to do a sand and paint (not full sandblasting).

Looks really good though Red, well done indeed.
I chipped, scraped, and wire brushed any paint that was lose enough to come off. The stubborn well-bonded paint (most of it actually) I sanded several times and wiped with oil and wax remover so it was ready to receive the new paint per the literature guidelines. I also used progressively finer grit ending at 400. I am happy with the results.
I spent the whole evening masking to paint my blue interior section. Can’t afford overspray on my white! This is a picture of my Corinthian white comparison to the old. Since I am partial color blind, what do you guys think of the color match? Just curious.
The door is old paint and the dash is new. How do they compare to you?
