Has it been an eternity yet? I am sanding and masking...sanding and masking. This is probably why patina is normal! The vision I have for this project requires that I finish this beast. Lets make it one & done. New truck with 1960 styling is worth the $$, effort, and wait...

Sanding all old finish with 600 grit Dash needs more masking Three tone interior adds time and effort to the project. Hope it is worth it in the end...
Attention to detail gives you better results for sure. On my old yard maintenance dump truck perfection wasn't needed. The end result shows it too.
Fun to see your work. Has it warmed up enough to paint out there?
27-40F here but I have an idea to test.
I am trying a test area tonight to see if heating the shop and only running the exhaust during the spray will cure correctly. If not, the test patch is behind the headliner anyway...
The Corinthian white is thinner than I anticipated. I will need to sand out some runs on the pillars and respray but the good news is my plan worked thus far and the paint is setting up and glossing correctly!
I bet it smells nice in there too! I still have an original I was going to use as a pattern at least 12 years ago! Maybe this year I'll make a resolution to do it, Ha Ha!

I saved the pieces from mine for patterns for five years before I threw them out. I know me too well.
Today went better but even with my careful attention and gun setup, this paint loves to run on vertical surfaces! It flows too long (maybe temperature related) and is good at self leveling/running... I will sand and repaint the dash since it ran below the front edge. More progress...

We can collaborate... I plan to do the headliner after painting while reassembling. Its NewYears after all, resolutions are coming if you do that sort of thing. Personally I don’t. If I decide something it’s usually not at January 1 and I aint waitin’ to implement!!!
Good to see you chugging along. I have been pounding on the bumper I got with the trailer but it is going to take awhile. Maybe I should buy a port a power! Always good to get new tools!
I have to let all the white cure and then can do the blue part of the interior. Pics of todays spraying. I like how the shifter **** came out and now have three coats on the steering wheel. Red’s instrument cluster looks great with two coats as well as the fuel tube,
Easier to read shifter with white background fixed All coats on the steering wheel. It DDFD! Spoil of war in Red’s favor... Filler tube is DDFD This was the last Corinthian White needed inside the cab. Doors have white after I complete the cab exterior and swap bays. Not perfect (overspray in spots) but looks serviceable and not as beat up
