Wow, busy month, sry bout the truck Yahiko.. damn. No, the phone hasn't surfaced. Not high hopes of it either.
Bentley, I've looked at the QMED with Fremont Maritime, at Fishermans Terminal. Highly regarded program, and they give a steep discount for local fishermen. Well worth the cost of getting a commercial fishing license from Seattle Marine Hardware, more than covers the discount even for the STCW. I haven't had the need for the license, and having one adds restriction and caveats to my lifestyle I'd rather not mess with if not needed. They also have the India Tango firefighting program, I believe it's them, and it's pretty first class.
On my issue : I now have a truck project sitting in the driveway that I am keeping.
The buyback was only about $3500 and now I have some cash to work with. I think
for the time being I'll get a new set of wheels and put this back on it's feet taking
my time. You can bet that will **** the old lady off no end. But you know at the
worst I can part it out if I need out of the project.
My bad, Bentley. I only briefly looked at the QMED for a short bit. Those were the names I recalled. I have the night off, it looks like, and a few other engineer buddies in town. I'll see about getting some more accurate info. Seems you shouldn't have to go to San Diego for school though. Seattles only one of the biggest/busiest ports in the States...
Nice weather day in King Cove and parked up waiting our turn for offload. Good moment for a photo of the sled.
F/V Keta, sister boat to the Destination, lost this last winter.
Hello everyone... I'm currently traveling at 540mph at 37,000ft...two hours out of Seattle. Free wi-fi, so why not post?! Been in China for a week and looking forward to getting home. Need to kiss the wife, hug the kids and take the truck for a spin! Hopefully to find some BBQ

Dang it; I should have taken a picture of my location when I posted from the air. I had the map app running on the in-flight entertainment screen and I was probably right over you.
..and I probably saw you then. Rarely does a plane fly over that I don't give a glance anyway. It's a pretty busy route to the East, most folks don't believe me as they wonder why jets fly so much this far north.

It is strange watching the airplane fly over Vancouver Island and continue along the Alaska coastline to get to Asia. One of my coworkers got concerned because he was expecting us to fly due West after departing Seattle.
A friendly poke: There are some good articles on the King 5 News website today about disaster preparedness. Looks like the State finally adopted the "Have water and supplies for 14 days" mantra. FEMA has been pushing that for the better part of a decade...but better late than never.
