Threw the big flag on this weekend while I was helping one of the brother-in-laws with some errands around town. He needed some help moving some plywood while his 6.OH Three-fiddy is at Ranaway Diesel getting a new headgasket and the rest of the bullet-proofing (or something like that.)
Love that flag. Went to that burger bar across the street for the first time last year. Not very impressed for a place that's been there for years.
Yeah. Pilchuck is better (downtown Snohomish). I think people like King Charlie's because they have fish 'n Chips and stuff like that. The normal burgers aren't really anything you can't duplicate at a BBQ. Both are fun because they feel like oldschool local burger joints.
@NW Flag is awesome, need something like that for my truck, only mounted in the bed. Didn't even realize that was King Charlie's, bought my first car a block from there.
@Onug have you been to Pecos Pit or Jones BBQ? They use to have more Jones BBQ but AFAIK the only one left is West Seattle.

I've eaten at Pecos in SODO quite a few times. I used to work at Boeing field and could head up there for lunch. Great stuff. Their hot sauce is true, melt-your-face, liquid fire.
Never tried Jones before; don't make it over to West Seattle very often. Are they good? I've tried quite a few places in the Seattle/Eastside area, but always up for something new.
Speaking of BBQ, I'm hoping to smoke some brisket and a turkey this weekend. My local butcher burned down recently, so I've been calling around trying to find some good meat. You'd think I was asking for uranium. Not interested in 12lb frozen birds and pre-trimmed brisket flats.
Jones use to have a restaurant on Lander between 1st and 4th, I think Burlington Northern is their now. I thought they were pretty good.
I've been to KC Jones? Think that's the name in Lynwood and they were decent, the place in Bothell at Country Village was disappointing the second time around. You're right about Pecos, stuff is hot.

I had a Uber driver tell me about Stewarts a few months ago. It's on my map of things to visit, just too far away from me right now.

You're talking about Carolina Smoke. That's actually one of my favorite places in the area, but it is inconsistent. I've had the best and worst brisket there...but I love the flavor profiles.
Rhodies Smokn BBQ off I-90 in Preston is very good. Jack's BBQ in SODO is amazing, but expensive even for BBQ. They were written up by a Texas BBQ critic as the best TX style BBQ outside TX. Don't bother with any of the Dickies BBQs...total garbage. Brileys BBQ in the North Seattle / Lake Forest Park DMZ is good, as is Cedar River BBQ in Renton. BBQ Pete's is decent there in Southcenter/Kent.
There are a few more that I've been wanting to try...but that's what I can remember this early in the morning...
If I had the funds to do it I would love to do some traveling and hit a lot
of the BBQ places across the US. I for some odd reason would like to also
go up to Vancouver BC to try out Japadog. JAPADOG - JAPADOG - Japanese style Hot dog in Canada
Wild thought, Someone should start a new thread with all the places that are good to eat.
