Seems totally fine. I've run the motorcraft 5W-20 and this and never noticed a difference. With this old thing I'll personally take the thicker stuff to try to extend the life of the engine over a fraction of a mile per gallon. Having the 10W-30 could have been my saving grace when I overheated for all I know. Gave myself, what, 20 degrees (F) of more heat threshold before it thins out? I need every life-extending product I can find for this motor now lol.
Nice. I miss my V10 sometimes. It's an amazing engine for a naturally aspirated gas burner.
I pulled my Arctic Fox loaded for the weekend over Stevens Pass when I was down one cylinder. It was my first time pulling with that truck over the pass, so I was a bit worried when the power died off on that final steep climb up the pass. Thought I might have too much trailer for the engine. Turns out I was running a V9. Other than a lack of power, the engine sounded and felt fine. Replaced the injector a few weeks later once a CEL told me something was wrong. After that, the engine pulled like a bull.
Sure don't miss the fuel bill however. $110 a week was a bit much.
I've used a Lisle funnel with out issue for a long time. Once the fan cycles a couple times I know I'm good.

I used the Motorcraft 5-20 for a while and my Engine would burn oil like crazy, could be the non-pi vs pi, ever since running Motorcraft 5w30 haven't had nearly the consumption.

Good luck. Are you on a boat? we caught some nice ones in July.
Ex made it to Surfside great! Burped the system one more time near JBLM because things were a bit hot, but then coolant never hit over 219 on hill pulls, averaged 198ish, and the tranny floated around the high 100s for the most part.
Seems to be a good sign. We'll see if anything blows up in the near future I guess LOL
