Alright putting final touches on the truck, changing the oil, toping off the trans. Refilling the coolant after changing that freeze plug, and getting ready to air up the tires to what I want them at. With any luck she will make a splash in the mud tomorrow night.
Good luck out there Larry. Hope the truck holds up and makes a few passes.
Thanks! Found my front 2 boggers at 8psi, and one of my rear ones wouldn't even register on the gauge. They're set at 35/10 now, even washed the windows and knocked the mildew off the ol girl.
Taking a break from playing in the yard.
Shari and I went and snagged me some Tomato plants. Since I'm the only one in the house that will eat them, 3 plants is usually enough.
And my Brisket is coming along nicely. Nothing compared to what it look like a week ago, but the neighborhood does smell nice.
That's lookin good, Bob. We've got a pair of 1 3/4" Black Angus strip steaks going on the Weber tomorrow. Going to try a reverse sear.
That sounds good Tony. I haven't cooked anything that way. I like a nice thick steak, but others around here (My wife) doesn't. So a steak we eat fairly often in a 1/2" Ribeye. And for that, I do a nice quick hot sear, and that has the steak about cooked.
Well ended up tied for first last night with a distance of 107' 9". Had a run off, but I was "broke" I made a pass anyways but ended up not doing much because of steering issues and my front tires pointed at each other. So I ended the night with a second place finish, not to bad for setting over a year and having a deep nasty pit.
That is supposed to be almost straight. My front tires were 6" toed inwards so I was plowing instead of getting up and moving like it should have.
This was from my first pass,
Out my window the second pass, mud was probably 8-10" or so up my door. Neither of the 38" tires on that side were visible.
