Larry, that looks like a BLAST
If I thought I'd get Ka'Bluey further than the starting line, I wouldn't mind giving that a shot myself

Larry, looks like it was a lot of fun. So did you bend the passenger side tie rod\cross arm on the steering? What size is that rod, it looks pretty beefy, even bent. Are you running a D60 up front?

It's very addicting... my buddy ran his 78 f250 on humbee tires once and was hooked.... the truck is now geared and on boggers haha.

Dana 44 with chromo shafts, that's the driver side tie rod. It's got that inverted Y steering. I'd guess the bar is atleast 3/4" but I haven't put a tape on it. That thing is $100 for a replacement moog tie rod. Guess I'm just going to replace it for now. If it happens again I'm going to go with crossover steering made from DOM and heim joints.

Would you be able to fabricate a steering linkage from a D60 to fit the 44? If so I have a spare laying around collecting dust.

I'd have to put a tape on it to make sure it was beefier though. I think it might be the same size.

The dana 60 is wider if I'm not mistaken. I'm just going to replace it with a new stock piece for now, I mean that one has lasted for almost 40 years, and 10+ racing. I have intentions on having a set of heavy duty crossover steering links built for it this winter and swapping on it.

Couple of steaks to go in the pan tonight. Not sure if you can tell but they are a good 2 inches thick.

Nice steaks, Josh.
I did a reverse sear on the two we had Sunday. 225*( with a few cherry chips for just a touch of smoke) till internal of 130* then onto the gas grill with smoking hot cast iron grates for 60 sec each side. When cut the whole inside of the steak is med rare with just a very thin brown ring around the outside and a great sear. I liked it. No smoke next time.

Today starts the qualifying for the Senior Games. We'll know in a couple of weeks if we can meet up to break bread in Raleigh.

All over the state. If you qualify in the top three you go to Raleigh in Oct. for the state finals. Me....LOL.. My wife bowls. The last couple of times we've gone to Raleigh the BBQ Crew has planned the Oct. GTG around our visit.
