Good morning everybody. I moved yesterday's craigslist deal to today. And I have my appointment to get my exhaust pipes welded up.
Then I think it's time to pick up a Banjo and get some practice in.
Little bit more about my garden, I made a rookie mistake and best I can tell over fertilized my corn with the nitrogen fertilizer that I read I was supposed to use. Anyways it died shortly after I hit it anyeays.
On the other end we've got 2 squash plants and one cucumber plant that has broke surface of the 6 or so of each we set so I guess I didn't do to hot with those either.
The potatoes on the other hand have popped up about 7 plants that we set out.
Guess we will see how those turn out...
I set out 2 more small rows of corn in a area that hadn't been touched yet so we will see if they pop up, and if so maybe I won't kill them too.
Garden looks good. I'll grab a shot of my little ones I have going. The pole beans have broken through the surface. I made the mistake of putting the row too far from the fence I wanted them on so I'll have stake them, and I see just a little bit of the corn poking through now. The tomatos I put in as plants are looking real good, so are the peppers. I haven't seen the okra yet, but I'm holding out hope. I haven't watered today, so I should probably check them and maybe water while I'm out in the shop.
Got the steering gear box off the other night now I just need to pull the pitman arm, this weekend possibly and tear into it. It's just the input shaft seal that leaking real bad, so maybe it won't take too much to tear it apart to replace that. Though if it's quick enough I will just replace all the seals that I can.
Good morning fellers
More rain today, and weather guessers are calling for it next week too. I'm really thinking about buying a boat
Could be a good day to get busy working on this years Christmas light Display. Yup, it doesn't stop. As far as what is in the yard and on the house, it all looks the same. But we've already bought two more controllers, doubling our channels to 64, and will easily hit 12,000 plus lights this year.
Our big thing is our Spiral Tree that was new for last year. It only had 4 channels on it, and one color. This year it will have 32 channels, and have 4 colors.
Y'all be safe.

Sounds like a pile of lights for sure, got a few people around here that do big stuff like that.
As for christmas lights, we setup half a tree (literally it's half a tree that sets flush against the wall).
Larry if were my choice, I probably wouldn't do anything inside the house. But the outside is a totally different story.
"If you can't see it from space, your not doing it right"
I'm gonna guess by this question, it shouldn't have touched it though....
The fertilizer can burn young plants. Mix a little into the soil before you seed. After they come up, side dress with a small amount several inches from the seedlings on each side of the row (if needed). It's a good idea to work that into the soil with a hoe to keep rain from splashing it up on the plants. After they get some size, you won't have to be as careful.

That is where I screwed up, plus I'm pretty sure I over did it. It didn't take long and they looked burned, turned brown and shriveled and died.
I'll be more cautious with these next ones if they pop up. I hit the soil with basic fertilizer before seeding and went very light on it.
