Good morning everybody
Who has what going on this weekend, we know Tony has plans and wish him good luck.
My truck is still dirty from our Spring Fling, and I'm holding off on washing it because the weather guessers are still, calling for rain and I haven't seen a drop. So, I may break down and wash the truck, and then it will rain and water everything, and my truck will be clean.
Josh came by yesterday for a bit, we took Ka'Bluey out for a little ride around town. Sometimes I think that 400 is about worn out, but then when you open it up, it really seams to have quite a bit of life left in it. The transmission wasn't down shifting into passing gear when I nailed it, so I do need to get under the truck and see if that linkage has come off, again...
Hope everybody's doing well.
My plan for the weekend will be getting the lawn mower running and get the grass cut for the first time. Also got a few more things to get done before May 7th. We have around 60 pounds of butts/picnics to go on the grill early on the 7th to become some BBQ for the wife's birthday.

Well I found out why Ka'Bluey won't downshift when the pedal is down to the floor. The kickdown linkage from the carb to the transmission is gone.
So if you have one, or come across one, let me know. It's for a 79 F150, 400, C6, 2bl, 4x4. And I"ll need to lengthen it 2" for the body lift that we did on him years ago.

The body lift shouldn't effect passing gear kick down lever...
Finally getting around to posting a picture of our new rooster.
Also picked up a new battery for the lawn mower and she is purring like a kitten. Made a few laps around the yard tonight but guess I'll jump on finishing that tomorrow.
You are correct. I need a stock kick down linkage.
I'll look around later today I may have one from a 460/C6 which should be the same I'd think. I may even have the one off my 77 from when it had the 351m/C6 laying around but I'm not going to hold my breath for that, it's been out for almost 10 years now.

That's fine, I do appreciate you at least checking for me
I fired Ka'Bluey up and I let him run 20 minutes or so to get the engine good and warm before spraying engine degreaser on and pressure washing.
I also let him run long enough so the thermostat opened, and was able to ad another gallon of coolant. I'm hoping that took care of my engine temp climbing.
Soundimg good, I couldn't find a kick down linkage early.
After cutting the grass today, I'm about dead set on having to upgrade lawn mowers. The old craftsman just isn't doing it. The deck has about had it, and it keeps bogging down if I hit anything that was even remotely thick. I had to cut the grass in first gear today and kept having to stop and let it cut then start moving again.
