Got the carb pulled, accelerator pump swapped out and carb back on between rain showers. Just got back from grabbing some new vacuum plug caps since several were very dry rotted. Waiting on the rain to stop again so that I can get those on, and get the fuel line hooked back up. Then hopefully see how it reacts to the throttle now.

Had some dirt/grit in side it wiped that out and re assembled.

It's on sale, 2- 18.6 pound bags for $12.99 and a free bottle of lighter fluid. (Though I don't use lighter fluid in my smoker, it's good for getting camp fires going).

Yeah, I picked up a couple bags last week from the old Food Lion down the road. Don't remember what I payed though.

The 10 lb butt smoked great and was nice and tasty. washed it down with a few (too many) brews and got the garden tilled and plants ready to go in. I'd say it was a successful weekend. Guess I should celebrate... with another brew!

I'm feeling better than I did yesterday.
I did make it out to get our two light controllers, then set on my butt the rest of the day. My head throbbed, ears clogged up nicely, just felt like the Elephant Man.
I haven't even fired Ka'Bluey up this last week. I may do that today just to hear em'.

Sure hate I missed out on the smokin'. Josh, thanks for the invite. I didn't even get up till very late yesterday(6pm)due to this stupid back. The pain is a whole lot better today buy very weak feeling. Maybe I should have had a few brews to numb the pain...lol. Sounds like the smokin' turned out great. I gotta get moving and start getting ready for the Spring Fling!

Bob, sounds like you may have some spring allergies going on also. I never used to have any trouble with them until about 3 or 4 years ago, then suddenly it was like someone flipped a switch. It seems to be getting worse every spring. Oh, the ailes of getting old...lol.

Larry, don't you just love working on something between rain showers?

Be Good!!!

I picked up one bundle with the lighter fluid because I was down to two bags but I'm waiting for the big sale in May when it should go to $9.98, to stock up.

Same here Tony. My wife ans son Tim, went and snagged two bundles, and free fluid. I still have two bundles from last season, and I'll get another 8 or 10 bundles when it goes on sale again later. That will run me for the next year.

Yup, it works!
I had a 75' 429 out of a Lincoln, on an engine stand, that I wanted to rebuild and drop into Ka'Bluey. One of the other owners kept it. Probably the guy I sold em' to.
